Arwen and Maria

"Mr Wales, the magic art teacher of 3rd level mages, he was seriously injured with a dagger"

"This doesn't look like a dagger". The Hokage looked at the wound, it has a little opening which was deep.

"Well, whatever it is my lord. Mr Wales died due to loss of blood".

The Hokage sat on the chair in the examination room. He looked washed up.

"Tidy him up," The examiner told the nurses.

"My lord, we will find her" Botan assured.

Arwen didn't do much talking since they got to the examination room. All he could remember is how his parents died saving his sister who also died at that time.

He sighed and walked out of the room.

"Arwen?" Botan called him.

But he didn't respond. He ignored Botan and walked away.

"Let him be" Hokage told Botan. He knew about Arwen's parents and his sister. He understood Arwen's pain.

Magisterium was under emergency lockdown that day. The hallways were dry and empty. Not a single student was seen around.

Arwen surged through his thoughts about his family. He grieves each moment he remembers them. All he could do is to take a break from work.

He packed up his bags and hung his lab coat on the clothes hanger in his office. Arwen is another mage that has a personal mage gate in the magisterium. It was gifted to him due to an emergency concerning health issues because he's a doctor. He can be needed at any time and can't risk driving to the main headquarters to be teleported into the magisterium.

Arwen already activated the mage gate. He was about to cross but then remembered something.

"Maria Rodriguez files". He sighed and went back to his desk to park them.

"Much, much, much, too many files".

Suddenly, he heard something crash on the floor. He looked back and went to the room where the mage gate was. It was still on, showing its blue cosmos light.

A cup of pencils was scattered on the floor.

"Hmmm". Arwen picked it up and kept it back in its place. He looked around and went back to parking Maria's files.

"Done".

He went back to the room where the mage gate was and crossed over. Immediately he came into his house the mage gate closed up. It was dark, He switched on the light in the garage and made his way into his house.

Arwen kept his mage gate at the garage. He didn't have enough space for it in his house since it was a little cabin with glass walls. It was quite an attractive place.

Clad in a burned wood exterior, following the shou-sugi-ban Japanese tradition, the cabin is rugged enough to withstand most climates. Lined in plywood panels, the interior spaces are well-insulated and come with a minimalist interior design that adds an extra touch of luxury to the glamping experience. In these modern times, it's known as a lumipod, not a cabin.

Arwen lives off-grid in Japan. It was a quiet place. When he approached the glass sliding door, he mumbled something and it opened. The glass door was voice locked. That's the only way he could keep his stuff safe.

He dropped his bag and grabbed a can of water which he burbled in his mouth after which he gulped it.

He went to the restroom to ease himself off.

"Uh, it's 7 pm already". He zipped his flap. "I'd just go to sleep" He rubbed his eyes and groaned.

Arwen made it towards his room just to find out it was open. He became tensed, he knew before he goes out of his house he locks all doors. He walked slowly towards the room, peeking through the opening.

The door creaked slowly as he opened it. Everything was in place, he looked at his desk which was next to his door, it was still neatly arranged with his books.

"Well, I guess I'd forget to lock this one up, what a jerk I am" He sighed heavily and threw himself on his bed.

"What a jerk, what a jerk, what a jerk..." His hoarse voice was fading slowly, he was really tired and anytime soon he'll sleep off.

"What a jerk".

Arwen jumped up. "I didn't say that". The lights were still on but there was nobody in the room.

"Like seriously you're a jerk".

Arwen leapt out from his bed, he looked towards the door just to see Maria. The murderer of two mages.

"Oh, no am about to become the third mage" He whined softly.

Maria ignored his reactions and sat down at the desk.

"What is she doing?" Arwen thought, he couldn't help keeping himself steady cause he was shaking in fear.

He put forward his hand and a glowing green magic circle appeared before him. "You better leave now Maria".

Maria looked at him and smiled. "I have encountered two of these already".

"Oh shit".

Maria picked up a file on the desk and looked at it, the dark veins on her neck made a creaking sound like cracking bones.

She smiled. "I have evolved finally".
