She entered katz delicatessen, one of the most popular restaurant in new york in a white shirt tucked in a black long trouser, leaving her messy blonde hair in a ponytail.

Sabrina seemed not to be in mood, because she entered with a straight face, not smiling at anybody.

She scanned the entire room with her sharp eagled eyes and saw a man sitting by the window. She checked the picture in her phone to confirm if this was the man she was supposed to meet. She walked towards the man with her high heels and sat before the man.

"Hello Mr Andrew?" She asked politely.

The man scanned her face and outfit with a grim expression before replying her.

"Of course I am, Miss Darlington. I guess you know that we are here for a blind dates."

"I'm fully aware. That's why you see me here." She said smiling politely.

"Let's quit the politeness. I am Andrew James. I'm a thirty five years old, handsome and hard-working man. I works in A&G corporation. And you know that the company i work for is one of the best company in NYC. So I will really advise you to work very hard if you really want to marry me. I hate liability wives." The man said re-packing his hair with his left hand.

Sabrina looked at him with her mouth raised in a sneer.

The man had a white skin like that of a girl, but looked older than his age, his brown hair doesn't fit him at all.

"Wow! So you are that great."

"Sure, I am." James said smiling sheepishly.

"Well, not bad. Anyways. I am Sabrina Darlington as you know. I am twenty eight years old. I work in W or D enterprises. And I'm not just a mere worker, I'm a director. And I'm not interested in a man like you." She said to the surprised James and threw a card at him.

"I heard about the company little problem. You can come to W or D sometimes, we can help you solve it." She said arrogantly and left.

The man was still surprised even when she's gone.

Who wouldn't know the famous 'WD enterprises', WORK OR DIE, one of the biggest company in the world. Who in their normal senses would name a company that sort of names, well is their anonymous CEO.

Nobody has ever seen the face of the unruly CEO, even the workers. Rumors had it that the man runs business with underground world. Some people even called it WORK with DEVIL. Though many critize the company, but it still the best in the USA.

James really wanted turn back the time so he could make up with her.

She walked out of katz delicatessen, entered her car and started it, driving out of houston.

Immediately she got to her apartment, she took the elevator to her own flat.

She pressed her code to her door and it opened swiftly. She entered and dropped her handbag on the sofa and laid on the three sitter couch.

She was about to sleep when a call abrupted her sleep. She didn't check the caller before swiping to receive it:

"Hello?"

"Brie, tell me how the date went" A cheerful voice yelled on the speaker and she hissed.

No one needs to tell her before she recognized the voice of her bestie.

"Must you yell all the time, Jessi? Anyways, the date was horrible."

"Why was it horrible?"

"Very horrible. The guy was ugly, pompous and stupid. Can't talk right now. I will fill you in when you get back to new york."

"Awwww! I wish to hear every details. But I will be back tomorrow."

"Jessi, don't tell me you are leaving your Wednesday Las Vegas moonlight shooting because of a mere gist."

"Of course darling. No other things is as important as your little gist. And besides, weekend is your frenemy's birthday."

"Who? You mean Adrian?"

"Oh sorry. You have many frenemies. I mean Jacqueline's birthday. And I really want to prepare for it." Jessi said and Sabrina expression turned to sneer.

"Ok-kay" She drawled, "Good luck with your preparation."

"We are really going together this time. I can't go there alone."

"Why dragging me into this. Isn't she your best friend."

"Are you crazy, Sabeerinaa?" She yelled and Sabrina withdrew the phone from her ear. Whenever her best friend pronounce her name In that manner she knew it, that she's angry.

"I only have one best friend, and that is you. If you really want us to break up, then let me know." She said and hung up.

Sabrina laughed before dropping her phone somewhere and slept off on the sofa.

All she wanted that moment was a sweet dream.

The next day.....

Her ringtone woke her up from her sweet dreams and she picked it up with her eyes still closed.

"Hello" she said in a drowsy voice.

"Director Darlington. The vice president want so see you right now." The voice said.

She recognized the voice as Lucy, her assistant.

"Why would she want to see me right now when it's only early in the morn..." She checked her phone and noticed that it was 9:00 Am.

"Okkk. Tell her I'll be back soon." She said and hung up.

She realized that she slept off yesterday without going to bed. She only wanted to to take a nap, but slept off, forgetting that she didn't eat all day .

'Guess I won't cook today.' She thought as she entered the bathroom.

She drove off into the garage and parked her car.

She walked into WD building and some workers bow for her, which she smiled at.

People wondered why she became a director at that small age. It's all because she works hard. She don't have an excellent certificate like some did, but she's better than most with the best certificate.

She entered the elevator that some people were in, and she pressed the 10th floor.

As soon as the elevator stopped, and her turn to leave, she got out of it.

The floor she worked was WD entertainment department. That's where she direct. She walked into the vice presidents office which was opened before.

"Hello madam Beth" She said with a nervous smile.

The 'madam Beth' only glanced at her then gestured her to sit.

"Why did you come late today?" She asked as she swivelled her chair to face her.

"I'm sorry. I wasn't feeling good."

"You shouldn't have forced yourself. You deserve enough rest. Well let's go back to real business. The Chairman will be back nextweek. I heard from the PRO that he would be coming and we as the entertainment department should prepare something for him. Planning department team are preparing also. So you as the director, I want everything done before this week ends." Madam Beth said and she nodded.

She walked out of the office.

She was going to her own office when she met her assistant, Lucy. She was wearing blue shirt with a black trouser. The black heel she wore wasn't even obvious, because she was damn short but beautiful.

"Director! Hope you've seen the Vice President. She seems angry when she came to the office without meeting you there. She looks fierce like a tiger all the time. Isn't she always tired? I don't know why she can't just smile for once. Is that how she behave to her husband and kids. Sorry. She don't have husband let alone of having kids. Maybe that's the reason she don't have, cos she's too fierce and...." Lucy keep talking as they walked, even till inside they entered her office and she sighed

"Lucy!!!" She warned and Lucy bent her head low.

"Ma"

"Forgotten our little rule? No gossip is allowed."

"Yes ma. I know." She said in a little voice.

"So can I get a cup of tea? And please help me order some pepperoni pizza." she said and sat on her swivel chair.

"Ok Director." Lucy said and left with her head low because of shame.

Sabrina laughed and can't help but think Lucy was cute as she sulked.
