"Welcome back," Mr. James said, standing by the front door to welcome Melody after her day at work. He smiled seeing how tired she looked. "Dinner will be served in a few minutes."
"Thank you," Melody said as she walked inside. "I will take a bath before then, just have it all served when it's ready," Melody looked behind her at Abigail who looked even more exhausted than she was. "Abigail might have her dinner in her room."
Mr. James directed his attention to Abigail and nodded his head. The young lady was not used to office work. It was new to her and must have been exhausting. "I will have the maids take her dinner to her."
"How is Uncle?" Melody asked and Mr. James' brows pulled together hearing her still address that man as her uncle.
"He is still as silent as he had been since his stay there," he replied nonetheless. There was nothing he could do if she still saw him as her family.
