Alexander's POV

Alexander woke up with a raging headache and groaned as he tried to sit up in bed. He struggled to recall what had happened. He remembered wanting to go for a drive, but everything became dizzy before he could even step out the door—thankfully, he hadn't made it behind the wheel. Everything was blurry after that. He had what he believed was a fever dream of Stephanie coming to help him. What were the odds, though?

He looked around the room and slowly recognized it as the guest bedroom in his house. Maybe he was in better shape than he thought and had helped himself to bed. He noticed a packet of Tylenol and a thermometer on the side drawer. It couldn't have been her, could it? He felt like he was going crazy not knowing. A pleasant aroma wafted through the air, prompting him to investigate.
