*Lila's POV*
"You know, when you brought up the idea, I didn't believe it would work,” Rafe began. “I mean, I hoped it would but a mark has never been removed successfully before."
"Until now," I smirked.
I was still very proud of the fact. Not that I thought it up but because it actually happened. It actually worked. Praise the Moon Goddess that it did. I knew she couldn't have agreed with something so terrible.
That begged the question of why it was possible in the first place, but I couldn't ask her and I didn't want to get philosophical. I'd take the win for what it was.
We were in Rafe's room and my shirt was off, though it wasn't for a sexy reason. He had asked to see the back of my neck and confirm for himself that Zara's bite was removed.
I could understand why. Leo didn't let Cole out of his sight and stared at his neck like someone would surge up and bite it again.
