Richmond didn't transform fully to his wolf form, he was half man, half beast.
Seeing the little urchins throwing themselves at him, his wolf growled in irritation, his eyes turned red in displeasure.
He scrunched his nose in disgust, he hadn't bothered to perceive them earlier, but right now, pressing against his body, the scent of these wolves caused his stomach to protest, it was foul and terrible, they didn't smell like normal wolves, they smell earthy alright, but something else was emanating from their skin, The smell of antiseptic mixed with wet earth and human wastes was thick on them.
He dipped his hands into the chest of one of them, the heart was still beating, the eyes of the wolf were widened in realization, and its mouth opened in shock, Richmond smiled cynically and squeezed the heart, watching as the life of the wolf slipped away, "what a shame! You only lasted for a minute but you watched as he raped and maimed an innocent woman," he sneered at the dead wolf, kicking the body aside.
The rest grew angrier, they drew themselves at him, biting him but he didn't feel their bites, he welcomed the bites.
One of them tore into his forefinger, tearing off the nail, Richmond smiled and raised the finger before their eyes, the nail grew back, longer and menacing than ever, he sank the newly grown nail into the eye of the wolf that tore off his nail, displacing it out from the socket.
The wolf whimpered in pain.
Richmond was high on blood and pain, he dipped his hands into the chest of the unfortunate wolves that crossed his path, watching them as their mouths would open in shock when they saw their hearts clutched in his hands.
He cut through them, ripping their flesh, sometimes, licking the blood on his hands to see their reactions, it made him gag inwardly but his sacrifice was rewarded when he saw the fear evident on their faces, he made sure he killed all of them.
The Alpha wanted to run but Richmond beat him to it, suddenly standing before him like a stalker, "I warned you but you didn't listen," his voice was no longer the voice of man, but beast, he was beyond reasoning.
The man was trembling in fear, he knew Richmond was cursed and expected him to be weak and easy to kill but he wasn't expecting him to be this strong and he wasn't even in his wolf form, "Don't kill me please, it is not my fault, it was the fault of that man"
"Which man?" Richmond demanded.
"He is a bit shorter than you with dark hair, he looks young and a bit like you but not exactly like you, he said, no I mean" he couldn't get his words right but stammered as he spoke.
"Griffin" Richmond supplied.
"Yes, yes, that is his name, I was in the pub, drinking beer with my friends and he entered, sat down with us, and told us about your curse, please don't kill me," he said with pleading eyes.
"I will forgive you, if you crawl to that woman looking at you with joy in her heart, go to her with your two knees touching the ground, and ask for her mercy while kissing her feet," Richmond said.
"I should kiss her feet? But she is dead and won't be able to feel anything," the man tried to weasel his way, kissing the feet of a person means submission, and kissing the feet of a dead person was an abomination to the wolf clan.
"I guess I should just kill you now," Richmond said, raising his claws to strike the man, the man fell to the ground in fear, "I will do, please don't kill me"
He crawled to the woman as Richmond commanded, seeing the dead bodies of his pack, he wanted to howl at the loss but now, wasn't the right time to mourn.
Richmond was walking beside him to make sure he didn't run away, the man kissed the feet of the woman and begged for her forgiveness, he did it obediently like an innocent puppy, no one would have believed he was the same person that killed her.
Richmond patted his head playfully, "You have done well" he tugged on the man's neck, pulling him to his feet.
"Can I go now," the man said meekly
"No," he answered.
"But I did everything you commanded, please let me go, I will never show my face to you, never, I swear"
Richmond smiled, creepy, "I am sure you wouldn't, I made a promise and I have to fulfill her. if I don't, she will be sad and angry as she journeys to the great beyond"
"Look at her, she is staring right at it, does it not make you feel weird perhaps?"
The man was frightened and also confused, Richmond was a nutcase, how could someone talk to a dead person as if she was alive?
"Look at that beautiful smile on her face," Richmond said, enjoying the calmness in the woods, apart from the idiot standing beside him, everywhere was silent.
The man turned to look at the woman, truly, it was as if she was alive and breathing, her eyes were opened but unblinking, it was creeping him out, he just wanted to leave and never cross paths with Richmond again.
Richmond used that moment of vulnerability to tear deeply into the man's neck, the man cried out in pain, "I forgot to ask, what is your name?
The man pressed on the injury with his hands, "You promised you were not going to kill me"
"I didn't promise, you only assumed that I would, so what is your name?"
"What the fuck do you need my name for? The man cursed out in pain.
He smiled brightly as if they were discussing the weather, "What else? For your headstone of course"
The man was wasting his special time, He tore into the chest of the man and brought out the heart, the blood, touching the woman's feet, the man dropped to the ground as his body stilled.
Richmond crouched down, fully satisfied with his actions, took the hand of the woman, and dropped the heart in her hand, "I have avenged you, now you can sleep peacefully" he murmured to her, reaching for her eyes and gently shut them close for her final departure.
"Now she is dead," he said and rose to his feet, dusting off the dust from his body.
He took his torn nail from the teeth of the dead wolf, tearing the wolf's body into pieces and spilling the blood on every surface he could find, covering his tracks, making sure all traces of his DNA were wiped away from the scene.
He couldn't leave the cemetery, looking like someone who bathed in blood, what if someone saw him, "I will send the driver to pick up the car later,"
He turned into a full wolf and ran away from the cemetery, luckily no security cameras were roaming around the area.
