"You're not going to sleep in your room here?"

I suddenly stopped in my tracks, still holding the doorknob of the door of the classroom where I must leave. Classes just ended and I'm planning to get out as early as I can. I looked at Lily with the latter who were looking at me too.

"Maybe she'll see her boyfriend."

My head turned to Neodelle. What a joke.

"You have a boyfriend?!" Delora and Lily exclaimed, suddenly excited and surprised. Now they got the wrong idea.

If I could just kick Neodelle out of the room, I'll do it without any second thoughts but I need to go now. "I have no such things." That's the only thing that I said and went out. I walked to the end of the stairs and I was about to jump down for a faster way down but I saw four ladies below. All their eyes went to me when they felt my presence and they waved at me.

"Violet..." Jirile, the lady wearing a circular metal pair of eyeglasses said my name. "Don't jump. You can go down by walking with your two feet."

I took my foot off the railing and approached their spot. Herlye, the lady with blond hair tied in a ponytail greeted me while Kesha informally greeted me, the lady with long brown hair. Ginger stood up from crunching down and fixed her uniform.

"Shall we proceed now?" I asked.

The latter nodded and I walked down with them behind me. We silently walked out of the building and went to the dormitories. We stopped and went inside Ginger and Herlye's room.

It was neat and the living room was cleaner than I expected knowing that Ginger is quite a messy roommate to have.

I sat on one of their couches and the four were divided into two. They occupied two sofas and Herlye took a pile of papers under the coffee table in the center. She handed it out to us and as soon as I got my hands on it, I browsed through the thick pages and silence engulfed the room as we read the content of the papers.

After nearly half an hour, we finally finished reading her report and I couldn't help but sigh.

"The monsters are multiplying their numbers in the south..." Kesha read a specific line in the paper. "In this case, they might get to Althea based on the pace of how they travel to hunt. Plus the fact that they're not being hunted anymore added more convenience for them."

"What disappoints me is this." I tore one piece of the paper and slammed it down on the table. Herlye flinched at the sound. "You haven't got any investigation nor report in that place. What happened, Herlye?"

Herlye just looked at the ground while Kesha decided to answer my question. "We don't have any access in the place, Violet. We are under the rules of Althea. We can't go out nor gain any—."

"Althea..." I stopped for a while to breathe first. This headmaster is making my head ache. "...should be our tool to gain those kinds of information. Althea needed us and we agreed if they will help us on this matter. We made a negotiation if I recall?"

"The guards stopped us from going out earlier." Ginger butted in. She leaned closer and she gave me a serious look. I took a glass of water from the table. I was about to sip some water but she spoke first. "They weren't notified by the headmaster."

Displeased by what I heard, I accidentally crushed the glass before I could even have a drop. The liquid poured down to my uniform but I couldn't even pay any attention to it. "He... What?" I wanted to confirm although I knew I heard it right.

"Are we really..." Herlye's troubled thought suddenly butted in our conversation. "...going to let these things be? Was this a part of the negotiation? Aren't we getting a disadvantage here?"

"Then what do you want, Herlye? Shall we go out from this shitty place?" I sarcastically asked. "I made the deal clear as day. That damned headmaster might be pulling tricks and pranks on us." Well, if she will agree, I will approve it since I don't see the point in staying here if they will lack cooperation.

It's not even long before we arrived and here we are with bullshits.

"We shouldn't let this go."

All of the attention in the room went to Jirile. She tore a piece of paper like what I did but she calmly put it down the table. She took a teacup and continued talking.

"We have some benefits in this school. The technologies, ears, and even news from different cities and kingdoms. In this report, it was said that four out of five kingdoms in good terms in Althea have their own representative in this school. Although the names are yet to be disclosed, it will benefit us someday."

"In what way?" Kesha asked her. Even I was all ears to her.

"Rumors..." Jirile took a sip on her teacup. "Or maybe even plans and news from their kingdoms. We can keep an eye on their advancements whether or not it'll affect us." Jirile gave me a meaningful look and I nodded. She does have a point.

We can't just dismiss the probability of invasion or even a slight coup d'etat.

"We can even take them as hostage if they try to do a thing in our territory." She joked.

I doubt that was a joke. After all it came from her mouth.

"But how about the information and the search? We can't just continue on putting defense. We need to take an offense." Ginger's voice raised a little. "That woman killed hundreds—no. Nearly a hundred thousand and we're doing nothing about it?" Her voice dropped in pitch and brought a cold temperature to the room. "She... took our homes from us."

I passed a glance at her shaking fist as she contained the anger she was keeping inside for the past year.

"If you're frustrated, Ginger..." Jirile gave her a sharp glare. "What do you think we're feeling right now?"

With a cold voice, I spoke. "Our primary goal is to kill her and restore our homes and the land that we lived in." I took a deep breath.

Even trying to mention her name is hideous as ever.

"But first, we need to know her location, end her life, clean her dirty works on her web, and... start from the very beginning."

"Are we still gonna stay here?" Ginger asked. Now, this is what we should be talking about.

"I vote on staying." Kesha raised her hand. "And to add the fact that we don't have any other place to live in."

"I will stay unless Violet thinks the contrary." Jirile said.

"Staying is better and maybe Violet can threaten the headmaster for us," Herlye said in a low voice. "There's a lot of pros and cons but I think staying here is a good idea."

And that left Ginger. With a sour face, she inhaled and puffed out air before leaning back. "If that's what our strategist says then I will say the same thing." She looked at me. "How about you, Violet? If you'll leave, then we will too."

I looked at the bandages on my hand. Is it really okay to stay? We can get information by ourselves but we can't gather information from different kingdoms and countries. Althea got various people from different places that may benefit us.

"The fallen Kingdom of Aravas... Now that it's a land with no residents. It more likely that some kingdom will try to get the land like before." Herlye said. "Although we planted an alarm, who knows if someone can break it before it can even give us signals of trespassing?"

"It won't."

All of them looked at me. "Aravas is secured by a powerful nymph known for its destructive power and also a goddess. We have nothing to worry about."

Ginger scoffed and smiled amusingly. "Look at that trust. No wonder she chose you."

"Don't even try to flatter me, Ginger."

"Aravas; A righteous one; worthy. You are considered worthy by the nymph and goddess themselves, Violet." Kesha said with a teasing smile on her face. "The only kingdom who doesn't rely on royal blood for its ruler because the goddess and her friend themselves choose the worthiest and righteous one for the throne." She continued to boast until she seemed to realize something.

Silence engulfed the whole room. No one bothered to say the next things about that land and then, all became gloomy.

Digging history comes with the thought of the present time.

I could even put myself in their perspective that night.

Coming home, drenched in sweat and loud heartbeats, retrieving their families and loved ones' cold and stiff bodies. Massacred by a woman.

Flames, blood, dead bodies, and even amputated body parts of different people are everywhere.

Arriving with the lifeless population, the murderess fled silently leaving ten eyes to witness the gruesome sight for a lifetime-long nightmare to loop in their sleep.

I was a few steps away, to officially receive the blessings and power of a ruler but with a snap of a finger, my consciousness faded away with the abundant lives around me.

My parents, brothers, and even acquaintances died in her bloody and cold hands. That merciless woman killed every life that existed as if the devil surfaced and wreaked havoc on life.

That psycho did not even spare her own family.

I still remember that nightmare, that night and her skinny body, that lab coat that was covered in different people's blood. Her short hair, was trimmed from dancing blades.

Her face, with traces of blood and her dead eyes that was piercing through my soul.

She killed everyone but spared mine. Her only niece.

It's been a year but a year was not enough to calm these emotions that trigger these unsettling and ravaging thoughts of revenge.

Her only life could not even compensate for the numerous people and our loved ones that she killed.

A year of hunt and search always ended up in vain every time we could encounter a sight of her but there's this blindfold that covers our eyes and yearns for that one's neck that will never end even throughout letdowns.

The next day, we have a physical test for class-s so we were all inside the large practice room on this floor which was only for us.

It was wide and spacious. There were lights everywhere and there were also some precautionary measures near the entrance of the room.

All of us changed to our clothes for physical activities and surprisingly, no one wore something exaggerated like metal or gold armor like what Brian did before.

Virgo said that he was just showing off his riches so she told me to ignore him but this time, the guys wore simple clothes that were appropriate in our class right now.

I sat on the bench at the very back as I was watching Vantel hitting and attacking the moving woods in the air that was being controlled by our teacher, Mister Bolter.

Vantel was using poison. A poison that can also be an acid at this point.

The rest was watching him too but they were on the front row. They were intently observing his actions and movements.

So, an s-class and privileged students are not just about chilling, huh?

"Hey, you weird-girl-wrapped-in-bandages-like-she-slept-with-fire." I turned my head to Neodelle who called me with that ridiculous long nickname.

What is it now?

He's looking at me like I annoyed him by just merely breathing. He looked over his shoulder since I was behind them.

"Aren't you fire itself?" Delora commented and chuckled afterward.

Neodelle gave her a glare. "Shut up you bubble woman."

"These holes are circles, not bubbles."

"I don't care."

"Asshole."

Neodelle ignored her and looked at me.

Now what? Picking a fight again? Does he want to kiss a clearly mopped floor this time?

"You never told us what your magic is." He said as Vantel returned to our spot since he wass already done. On Neodelle's words, all of our classmates looked at me curiously.

"Now that you said that... We don't know what kind of magic you control, Violet." Brian said.

"If she doesn't want to tell it, then don't force her." Vantel uninterestedly said. "You'll see it later anyway." He added and at the same time, Mister Bolter called my name.

I stood up and went to the center of the room. Mister Bolter controlled a new batch of wood and made them float. Now... This is troublesome. I only use my magic to immobilize or stop the enemy from making any movements but we need to tear those wood into two to make it look like we killed it. Just like breaking bones but a softer version.

I took a deep breath and looked at the positions. Three at my left, two at my right, and both five at my front and back.

A total of ten soft flying bones.

I exhaled slowly and suddenly, the five thick planks of wood charged in my direction and I ducked them fast then put the weight in my hands. I lifted my body and tore the woods that were aligned in one kick. The left side followed and it was aligned again as I wanted so I pushed myself up and landed with my feet. I used my arms to crush the two and did the same with the right ones.

The five planks of wood that were left was still in the air.

"Her skinny arms didn't look that strong" I heard Vezkud say from the benches.

"She won't use her magic?" Lily asked to I don't know who.

Oh, I am already using it.

I snapped my finger and the remaining five wood broke into pairs. And my turn ended up with five pieces of wood falling on the floor.

I felt a murderous glare behind me to which I turned just to see Neodelle's glare. "What in the wicked did you do?" He seriously asked.

"Telekinesis?" Mister Bolter asked as he was looking at my paper. Hey. I didn't put my ability in the box there. It wasn't intentional. I just didn't see that box. I really didn't notice that box and…

"It's not telekinesis, sir."

Then what?
