At twenty five, I can't say life has been an easy fit for me. Its all stress filled though this is what have always wanted excluding the stressful aspect. I have always strived to be an independent working woman, and i could say it finally came through three years ago when I applied to be a makeup artist for one of the most famous Beauty and cosmetics company called "Wonder woman".

I never expected I would be called for an interview shortly after my application. I met many young men and woman my age and beyond who were called for the interview that at a point I became scared because am sure everyone present there had something intriguing to offer. Though I know am good at what I do but when you are faced with so Much crowd applying for same thing, no matter how talented you might be it was only natural to be scared.

We were all given models and the necessary tools needed for the makeup. Judges were presented to watch what we did and give their final judgement. I gave my best short and when we were all done, we were told to wait for feedback where those employed will be contacted.

Two weeks later, when i was already about giving up on my dreams of becoming an artist with "Wonder Woman" when my phone beeped indicating I have a message on my email. I quickly opened and there...The words that made me the happiest person on earth...

"Congratulations! Miss Mona Roland, you have been selected as one among the qualified artist who did a great job during the practical interview."

"You are to resume next week. Welcome to Wonder Woman."

I screamed, with tears of joy that my dream of becoming a Makeup artist has finally come true what more could I ask for. With so much joy I called my best friend Becca on the phone, she wasn't just a friend but a sister because we both have come a long way since childhood. She's lucky enough to be married at twenty six to Bryan a great medical doctor who loves her very much.

"Best friend guess what?" I said. She knew how hard i worked to go this far, so I know she would scream louder than I did when she gets to hear it. "This better be good Mona I was about taking a nap".

For someone like Becca sleeping was an hobby.

"You sure you are not the real life sleeping beauty we read in fantasy novels?" I said sarcastically. "Am sure I am she said chuckling". "Okay just get ready to be blown away,...I got hired in "Wonder Woman"...

"Shut the front door!", are you serious!? She shouted with her high pitched voice that almost got my ears bleeding from the screech.

"Yes girlfriend,my dreams finally came through" i said as my eyes welled up with tears".

"Don't cry my Darling,am so happy for you". Thank you Best friend

I quickly rushed home from to the gym. "Mom....,Dad...." I ran like Someone was after me.

"Why the rush honey, what's happening?".

" Have got great news for you.." I said jumping like I was still a kid. My Dad was on his pair of glasses he always put on when reading a book, while mom was arranging some old books she used when she was still a school teacher.

"Okay...what is this about?....

Mom, Dad your daughter here is finally an employed lady in one of the famous cosmetic company. My Dad removed his glasses, widened his eyes trying to comprehend what I just said...

" Honey, am so proud of you, my mom said with tears filled eyes, I was group hugged by my parents, I felt so loved.

I have two brothers, Tom and Matthew, Tom is sixteen why Matthew is twelve. Things have been pretty hard for my family ever since Dad lost his job. Mom's monthly retirement fund as a school teacher was barely enough to go by, so me getting this job is more like God's blessing to my family and i. Am old enough to help out with family duties specially now that my brothers are in highschool

I can't wait to break the news to my boyfriend Jack.

Jack has been my boyfriend for six years. We started dating from college. Back then he was the new transfer student in my school, though we weren't in same class or same faculty, but everyone knew the new hot transfer student named Jack. He has the features of a guy you can describe as a "pretty boy". A tall white boy who is slightly muscular with curly blonde hair, and green eyes.

I was greatly surprised to be noticed by Jack. We first met in our school library. He always disturbed the peace of the library, for someone like me I find it hard to concentrate even to the slightest noise made. At first I found it annoying that I confronted him the next day.

"Do you realize you are in a library?, you might be new but am sure your former school had a library too so you ought to know its a place for utmost peace and quiet".

What puzzled me was the way he was staring at me while I poured out my mind.

"Wow....her voice is amazing..." What?, why would he think my voice is amazing when am clearly telling him to be quiet.

"Am sorry if I distracted you, but you wouldn't pay me much attention if I didn't do that", he said smiling with those pearly white teeth.

" I don't seem to understand you Mr....", "it's Jack, call me Jack".

" Okay Mr Jack, like I said this is a library that requires utmost silence if you understand what I mean".

"Yes Miss Mona, I understand you perfectly", he replied smiling sweetly. Wait, how did he know my name?.

" Have we met before?", I asked confused.

"Well you could say we've met now, it wasn't my intention to distract you Mona, I just wanted to....to talk to you".

That was how my love story with Jack began. We were a pair and we got quite the stares specially from the girls who had always crushed on Jack. I wasn't left out as guys who crushed on me got very jealous of Jack because I never dated anyone of them in my school, not even the most handsome guy in my class who constantly asked me out. I can't really explain how I came about falling for Jack, but all I knew was he made me happy and i felt very comfortable around him.
