Chang Lin escaped from prison with Fu Ling and killed her brother. When Shang Chen tried to kill Fu ling, the Moon Lantern caught his Phoenix Blood, and Shang Chen's spirit wandered. In order to separate her destiny from Shang Chen's, she cut the destiny stone in half. Chang Lin accepted the fate stone punishment instead of Fu ling and his body was destroyed. Fu ling, poisoned by her sister, lost control of the Moon Lantern, and the mortal world fell into chaos. To make up for this incident, she sacrificed herself. Two thousand years later, Fu ling's soul entered the mortal body and met Shang Chen and Chang Lin again. A complex relationship of love, hate and sacrifice.
