Awakening: The New Era

The day the evil breached our world, the heavens shed tears of blood, and the earth trembled with anguish. Its dark presence slithered into every crack, staining the air with suffocating darkness that choked the very soul of humanity. Yet, in the face of such evil, the gods did not forsake us. From their celestial thrones, they descended, their divine light piercing through the suffocating darkness. With their divine power, they stood as beacons of hope amidst the approaching night. Through alliances forged with forgotten deities and the wielding of long-lost magics, we waged war against the terrifying evil. Each battle was a testament to our determination, and every win served as a ray of hope in the never-ending night. Even if the path ahead is difficult and the journey is full of danger, there is still hope for salvation. —-------------------------------------- Schedule: 5 chapters/week (unless I'm ill or stuff happens) Chapter length: 1000 - 2500 words Warning and Disclaimer: The following novel is a work of fiction. Heaven’s Deal

Loot rules the world. To gain it, you must pass towers, killing the creatures inside. Their bodies disintegrate, incubate, and condense into loot. Then you collect it, sell it for money, and do it all over again! Right? Well, sort of. There’s other ways to get loot, apparently. - - - “I wish to make a deal with you, child.” An erithreal voice echos around the empty space. I look around in wonder, searching for it’s source, but come up empty handed. - - - “Your Kalista’s Manifesto. I want it.” It says. “No.” I reply firmly. “There is nothing you can offer me that will equal the value of my Kalista.” “Your Kalista? No, child. I would never take that from you. I simply want what it can produce.” It quickly says, it’s voice riddled with offended tones. “What do you mean?” I ask. “Your Kalista produces a special type of mana in which is extremely beneficial for me. I was wonder if we could make a deal?” “…what kind of deal?” “I will give you loot opportunities, access to special system privileges, and three wish tokens upon signing of the contract. In exchange, you provide me with mana. You can send as much or as little as you want, and for each unit sent, you can have your pick of loots. What do you say?” I pause for a moment. “I think you have yourself a deal. Who are you, anyways?” “Why the heavens, of course!” The voice replied, motherly affection and gratitude oozing from the seams. “Thank you, child. This will be of great help.” The world begins to twist and turn in a wild kaleidoscope of colors and and shapes as I was sent back to the crevices of my mind with a nauseating thump. - - - Cover does not belong to me.
