The stained past

Several years ago, I met a man named Domus. He was tall, gifted, and a well-rounded guy. We were both in our late twenties at that time. He was my best friend for many years until I realized he was a robber and his dirty deeds eventually caught up with him. I remembered driving on the 105 highway. The night was dark and cold, with no other cars in sight. After driving for a while, I took out my phone. I was on the phone for a few minutes, and suddenly two black cars approached us. Without hesitation, bullets flew at our car in all directions like missiles and there was no break. Luckily, I survived but Domus wasn't so lucky. I saw him catch his last breath.
