Sudden monster.

Dying to a group of weak B-ranked monsters is the shame I have to live with, wow that sounds weird doesn’t it? Well my name is Osiris, yes this was the name that my parents gave me at birth, I think it is an awesome name. Well I died, and now I am this weird creature, life sucks doesn’t it? It’s like a friend of mine used to say. “Life sucks just like a prostitute does.” Discord : https://discord.gg/HBnHnQAU7P (The picture was shamelessly stolen from the internet, the name of the drawer is unknown to me and if you have the rights to this picture tell me so I can change it for another stolen picture.) (For information : I will keep in mind your suggestions on this story but in NO way will I change my mind if you don’t like the way I do things with my story, and I will not be adding anything to do with romance until later in the story if the story develops in a way that allows it.)

Snow.

Osiris gasped and shot up from his sleeping position, clearly the dream he had wasn't normal. He never dreamed, not when he was still human but now, the single time he does sleep in this new body he dreams… It all didn't make sense to him, he had tried his best to commit everything he saw inside of the dream to his memory but that didn't make it easier for him to figure out the meaning behind it. He just hoped that whenever he feels the need to sleep again that it will be peaceful.

Looking around Osiris vividly remembered the place where he had fallen asleep. Currently the entrance of the small crevice inside of this large boulder that he slept in was half covered in snow which indicated that the snowfall had most likely continued constantly during his rest, the snow was almost as tall as Osiris was.

"*Sigh* My movement would be restricted if I were to try and walk through this snow, better wait until it calms down." Osiris muttered in resignation as he corrected his sitting position to sit more comfortably. He might have a strong body capable of shrugging off bullets but that didn't mean that he couldn't harm himself if he moved or sat wrongly.

He had trained his human body to the point where such annoyances wouldn't happen but he hasn't done any body training as of yet except for the magical aspect of it. The magic inside of his body might've enhanced him even further but that doesn't mean he could neglect his physical foundations. The thought about training to pass the time did cross his mind but he felt like even he himself deserved some time to relax…

Staring at the pile of snow that continued growing by the hour Osiris' hopes of waiting out the snow storm faded to the back of his mind. It had been about six hours since he had awoken yet his rest only allowed for the snow to pile higher. Even if the snow would make moving harder Osiris didn't feel like getting stuck inside such a small space.

Standing up with a grunt, Osiris Stretched his body and used the limited space available to him to warm up his muscles so as to not overexert them when he has to plow through the snow. It was more of a habit than a necessity but it helped Osiris calm his mind, he had learned that to calm your mind you should do something like yoga or take a walk in nature, and for Osiris it was to exercise, well it had been in his previous life. Now he didn't actually know what he preferred so he just stuck to what he was used to.

After he was done stretching he started to move to the entrance of his small yet surprisingly comfortable place of rest. When he started to work through the snow the touch of the snow was surprisingly cool, his body that was working to produce body heat causing the snow that was in his hand to rapidly melt. 'This might be easier than I initially thought.'

Osiris' temper that was somewhat serene 5 minutes ago was nowhere to be seen, the only thing Osiris felt was annoyance. Having snow fall on top of you when you were actively trying to clear the snow was not fun, all it served to do was annoy Osiris. He might have preferred snow over sandy beaches but his appreciation had limits.

Sighing in resignation Osiris went back to wrestle with the snow getting used to doing so by the minutes making him more efficient then he was previously. How he cleared the snow was a combination of using his body heat that was being powered by his magic energy and his body. He had tried to use his body heat as a sort of burst of heat outside of his body but it had cost him a lot of his magical reserve which had set him back a few minutes where was forced to rest to recuperate his lost energy.

Now Osiris had entered a rhythm where he was comfortably able to plow his way through the snow, his head just able to stick out of the snow to see where he was going…

Osiris' peaceful state of mind was interrupted by sounds of rapid movement that was coming closer to him with each passing second. 'What could move at such a speed in this environment?' Osiris thought curious as to what might have the capabilities to do so. He might have encountered such a creature before but if he did he wasn't able to remember.

As the sound was coming closer and closer a visible dent in the snow that was moving in sync with the sound became clear. It was heading for Osiris in a straight beeline, not afraid of the predatorial aura that came from Osiris.

As it came closer and closer Osiris started to get nervous, he didn't know what was coming to him and his movements were very limited. This thing approaching held every advantage over Osiris, which Osiris realised.

Suddenly a feeling foreign to his body was felt, it wasn't fear but it was excitement. Some weird preditory feeling inside of his body was eager to engage such an exciting threat in a battle to the death. Even if he originally was a human he wasn't an exception to his body's instincts, the instinct to fight something more powerful than you.

Silence quickly enveloped the surroundings, the thing that was plowing through the snow at a speed that could match Osiris stopped...

Even in this situation Osiris gained a battle hungry grin and he started to embrace for impact for what was approaching. But even when he was ready to intercept this thing, he was quickly swept from his feet when it emerged from its snowy covers revealing a…

"Fuck" Was what broke the silence.
