Chapter 58

With the Necron droids fielded the war went through a massive change. No longer were the armies sparsely populated with only a few thousand droids supporting a few hundred soldiers. Now, they were able to have 10s of thousands of droids leading the assault under the command of a few individuals, saving a large amount of manpower.

On planets where the Hutts and Black Sun Syndicate were able to stay strong and hold back the invasion of the 4 factions, were then pushed back with the Necron reinforcements.

The Necrons were far different than the Zaku II and other droids that Jial had created. The other droids were fewer in number and therefore were used as actual soldiers would be. Taking cover, firing the weakest points, not going through dangerous terrain where an ambush was likely.

But the Necrons followed none of these rules. With their numbers, Jial did not fear the loss of a few of the units.

They were caught in an ambush? A few hundred may be destroyed but the thousands would unleash their wrath on the ambushers.

The main path is littered with mines and in the enemy's line of fire? Let the Warriors march ahead strong and receive all the damage, making way for the other droids and forces to reach their final goal safely.

The Necrons knew no fear. They did not grow tired. They did not know mercy. They only knew how to march forward and kill.

For months, the Necron armies allowed the 4 factions to take down each planet owned by the Hutts and take their inhabitants for themselves until they had finally reached the home of the Hutts, Nal Hutta and Nar Shadda.

The moon which was known as the capital of the underworld had long since been abandoned by the various thugs, pirates, and smugglers, none wanting to get caught in the path of destruction. A place where trillions of credits were traded every day was now a desolate place, where not even the Hutt soldiers stayed, in fear that they would be attacked without being able to mount a proper defense.

Jial met with Fredo, Aveth, and Shri aboard one of his ships. He had called them in order to discuss his plans. Each of the three leaders arrived with the same two guards that they had brought to their first meeting while Jial had Nott and Sidon next to him.

"I'm glad you all were able to make it," Jial greeted them

"For the man that helped us regain our former glory? A simple strategy meeting is the least you could ask for," Queen Aveth laughed it off. She had gained control of the Hutts' slave trade from these battles. Her kingdom was already making nearly 10 times the profit they had been making before the war.

Fredo agreed with her on that. All of the Black Sun businesses as well as any Underworld businesses other than assassination, smuggling, and spice trade had been taken over by him. The Exchange was on the path of reaching its former glory.

"I'm glad to hear that. Because I have something else to say," Jial told them, his voice unusually serious. "I am planning on signing a treaty with the Hutts."

All of the bodyguards looked shocked but the leaders didn't. They nodded when they heard Jial speak of a treaty. They knew what it meant.

"The Republic, ay?" asked Fredo

"Hmm," Jial didn't deny it. "They have stood aside for the past 3 years due to the Black Sun and Hutts starting the war as well as us 'liberating' planets but if we destroy Nal Hutta, they will surely step in."

"What terms are you planning to offer the Hutts?" Shri asked

"Keeping their fat asses on Nal Hutta for the next 100 years, 10 trillion credits, and ownership of Nar Shadda. We won't interfere in any trade that they wish to partake in or make any more assaults on the Hutts."

"Fair enough. How do we split it?" asked Fredo

"4-2-2-2. Obviously with the Yautja getting the 4 portion of Nar Shadda and the credits," Jial spoke frankly, which he thought was more than fair. Even if he said he wanted to give the Pride only 10 percent and take another for himself since they only assassinated a few targets, he was sure that none of them would complain. But Jial knew better than that. If he wanted this alliance to last, he had to make sure each of them viewed each other equally while seeing him as the leader.

Another factor was that the Pride and Exchange were not real organizations so they would not be considered in the treaty, officially at least. It was Jial and Queen Aveth who had planets and, therefore, a voice in the matter.

So when the Hutt representative, Republic representative, and Master Kirk who represented the Jedi arrived on Jial's ship, Shri and Fredo had already left.

The 5 individuals sat down at a table where Jial put forward the terms that he had come up with. The Hutt representative argued against it. He demanded their territory back and compensation for all of their losses. But after a few words of advice from Master Kirk and the Republic representative letting him know that the Republic would not support them if they did not agree to the terms, the Hutt finally accepted his fate and the fate of his people. They had truly lost their empire.

After 3 years of warfare, the Yautja, Exchange, Pride, and Zygerria had come out on top, taking everything away from the Hutts and then taking more. But unknown to the 4 factions, it gave others hope. Because those who had won were not the empire that had stood strong for over 10,000 years but 2 upstart groups and 2 that had been beaten into submission long ago.

Those who were enslaved. Those who were beaten. Those who were weak.

Those who had their eyes and minds open saw that they could rise above their stations and take what they wanted. As long as they dedicated themselves and stayed strong, they could rise up. And they could do it without the help of the Republic.

Jial had unknowingly created the foundations of the Confederacy Independent Systems as well as countless civil wars and rebellions on various planets.
