Grandpa’s Pokémon journey {Paused}
An old frail man in his 80’s has just been diagnosed with brain cancer, he lay inside his hospital bed recalling his life. He was abandoned by his relatives after the death of his parents. He lived on the streets doing odd jobs like newspaper deliveries and the rest. In his 20’s he got a stable job and an apartment, in his 30’s a house...all the way to the his 80’s the man was practically average, apart from his almost fanatical love for Pokémon.
He began his love for the famous Pokémon anime, when he saw a kid just like his younger self, malnourished and abandoned. The kid was gazing into a toy store looks at a figure of a Pokémon as he thought at the time ‘a pudgy little yellow mouse’. He bought the boy the figure and asked him about it...thus leading to him watching the show on T.V he also watched a few more modern shows later in his life, learning about the anime world but no to an otaku .
When he eventually passed after a fierce fight with the cancer. He is greeted by a man in a white suit appearing in his hospital room, as he came in to view everything around him, the doctors, nurses, wind, birds and hospital equipment froze in time. The who looked suspiciously like Morgan freeman exclaimed to him, that due to his love and appreciation of one of his worlds he will send him their along with 1 wish, 6 Pokémon of his choosing, and a personalised background.
