I died, a real bummer. But you know what? A ROB has taken interest in me, for no reason in particular... All he asks? Steal everything that takes my fancy, he even threw some neat tricks and a system in it for me.
"Ah yes, death. Something I'm familiar with.''
He was, all jokes he could make aside it was because he was a graveyard groundskeeper. He basically kept gravestones clean, took care of the land, and the fence that surrounded it, and helped people find the best place for their losses.
He stole things from the dead, bound by no moral obligation for the dead, they were dead. Would he go to heaven? Sure, that's why he focused on enjoying the life he had now.
But, that's not what happened, no when he finally died. No hell awaited him, but a random-looking guy with no features stood out, dressed in a casual pair of flip-flops, shorts, and a Hawaiian shirt.
What he was offered was a deal, in return for letting the Random God enjoy watching his new life, he was given a second chance, but this time allowed him to steal everything he wanted, as long as he had the skill to do so.
And he took it, without hesitation. Even if he did become some god's entertainment, some puppet. Wasn't he already that when compared to people like the God?
At least this way he could have some fun.
He was given a 'Steal' System, which allowed him to steal more than just what a person might have on them, a chance to steal more than he planned to take, a neat little system that not only made it so he could get better at stealing but make it so he could slowly level himself and his skills up to a point he could steal 'Abilities.' It came with simple things, an inventory, a store, a music player, a world travel function, a mission function, and last but not least, a 'Pseudo-Status' screen.
He was given the ability to travel anywhere he wanted, and he took it. He only clarified he wanted an 'Easy world to start in.' before he was sucked away, not caring about his destination.
He landed in a body standing right inside a grocery store, in his hand, he was holding what looked to be some sort of ramen cup.
Looking up from the Ramen cup he was met with a reflective surface in the middle of a few rows of other ramen cups, and other foods.
He had dark hair, combed back out of his face, and soft blue eyes. He had a serious resting bitch face, however, he was neither too feminine nor too masculine, something he could change to his pleasure.
A few screens began to appear before him.

Steal from the store? That was easy, but for now, he looked at the other screens.

-Shadow Walking. {Allows lower detectability, faster movement, and muffled movement within shadows.}
-Concealing Mask.
-Dexterity increased.
The moment he read dexterity increased he felt more aware of his body, and how it moved. Raising his hands he flexed his fingers a bit before he began to do finger exercises, aimed to help increase the coordination of the hands and he found them much easier to do.
Shadow walking was great for sure, already proving useful because the light he was under would occasionally flicker. He noticed when it happened a dark smoke would begin to rise off him only to be erased away when the light flickered back on and judging by the person standing next to him. They couldn't see the smoke
Pulling up his inventory he noticed the concealing mask, it was a simple black doctors mask, but instead of the usual material, it seemed to be made of more durable and washable cloth material.
Deciding to leave it alone until he needed it he began to walk down the aisle, using his eyes to look for cameras he didn't see any in a place that would make it harder to steal, wherever he was had shit security, judging by the lettering that he could still understand he was somewhere foreign.
He used simply sleight of hand to steal a candy bar, he was wearing a jacket with loose sleeves, so when he reached for a candy bar, he was able to use his pinky to pull something into his sleeve that fell down to his elbow. The color of the jacket which was black and the fact it was a pretty sturdy jacket made it hard to notice. He'd place a candy bar into the shopping basket he held then move on.
He continued to steal things, once he had them into his elbow he would lower his hand into his pocket, in which he would then be able to put them into the inventory.
He stole daily necessities, as well as candy, high-calorie bars, a few water bottles, some ramen, some seasoning, and other things that he would use in his day-to-day life.
By the time he got to the counter, he had a full shopping basket, and everything was rung up he realized where he was. It was Japan as he was sorting through his wallet, he had yen.
Paying for his groceries he had everything bagged quickly, when he left the store the alarm didn't go off, which showed that things in his inventory couldn't be detected by electronics at least. Stepping out into the night he began to just travel, just as a notification appeared.

Checking his inventory, sure enough, he now had a set of professional lock picking tools, along with what looked to be a bracer of some kind. Ah, an Armblade fashioned after Assassin's creed, looked like he'd need to be careful with his fingers, but due to his increased dexterity, he felt it would be fine.
He bumped into someone, and he released the groceries he knew wouldn't be harmed falling when it happened.
''Oh hell, sorry. I was in my own little world." It was the man who spoke, he had bumped into a woman.
"It's fine! I do the same thing all the time, here let me help you." As she reached down to help him pick up everything he caught her shoulder, stopping her from bending down before he spoke. ''Ah it's fine, I need the stretching anyway."
When he reached down to pick up his groceries he smiled to her, she nodded her head and after confirming the two of them were fine they parted ways.
After a few steps, his eyes turned a bit, looking to his inventory screen, where he had 34 thousand more yen than he had previously. Before his eyes focused again, heading to his new home.
