Left Behind

Sitting in the dark shrouded by thoughts,

Moving upon consciousness I do.

The thoughts bringing me down,

Distancing me from the light,

Each step As heavy as Water

And each sight as dark as the deepest sea

Others as swift as fast as the light

As for me always overshadowed,

Behind the steps of others.

When will I be able to shed my light

Entrapped by the past I once lived by,

Please help as I don't want to be left behind
