The Lin Family Ancestry

Though Grandfather Lin was surprised for a bit, but he calmed down fast and said.

"In this world we can never place our complete trust on others, especially those who are not our own kin. Everybody wants to climb up and suppress the other. This is the world where strong is respected and week are always at a disadvantage. Our Lin family has always been a thorn in the eyes of the others including the royal family."

"But grandfather if not for our family, won't the other 3 countries eat up East Pheonix Kingdom. All these aristocrat families and royal family will be destroyed right?"

"So why do they want to destroy Lin Family? Isn't it the same as destroying themselves?"

Grandfather Lin took a deep breadth and explained,"What if an enemy country promised some benefits to the song family and exempt them while they are conquering our country?"

Chujiu had this doubt as well, "Maybe they promised to leave Lin family resources and properties to the Song family. What they need to do is be an insider and cooperate. Plus all the resources must have been from that enemy country royal family as well. Song family only needs to put in some effort and receive a huge pie."

Chujiu sneered, "they are really idiots, Lin family resources are equal to a quarter of the entire Continent's. Only a fool would leave the treasure after obtaining it, especially at that time they don't need Song family at all."

"Old song is not an idiot, he is a cunning person. He must have his own trump card."

Grandfather Lin is always good at understanding people, he will never underestimate an enemy.

Chujiu nodded in understanding and asked him, "Grandfather before my soul parts were fused, I was always in the hiding and don't know much about the people and situations here. I only have a rough understanding. After the fusion, I spent most of my time on cultivation. So, can you tell me about all families here and their situations in our kingdom and also other kingdoms on this continent?"

Grandfather carefully explained the geography of the continents and also the kingdoms in their continent. There are six continents - 3 levels, depending on the availability of the spiritual energy.

Sacred Dragon Continent, Celestial Continent (Higher Level)

Divine Pheonix Continent, Azure Mystic Continent (Medium Level)

Tongxuan Continent, Longyuan Continent (Lower Level).

The continent where the Lin Family is in called Divine Pheonix Continent. This continent has 4 kingdoms.

East Pheonix Kingdom, West Pheonix Kingdom, South Pheonix Kingdom and North Pheonix Kingdom.

There are 5 Major Sects in Divine Pheonix Continent independent to the 4 kingdoms.

Kunlun Sect

Mount Hua Sect

Mystic Maiden Sect

Sword Extinction Sect

Divine Medicine Sect

East Pheonix Kingdom has 4 large aristocrat families.

Song Family, Gu Family, Bai Family and Ye Family.

There are 4 Amry general families where each have their own forces and are meant to protect their kingdom, complete missions and collect rare treasures. There are no wars and the continent is peaceful, so armies are used to collect rare treasures and resources for the kingdom.

Often these missions are dangerous, hence armed forces needed to be involved and this can be considered as training as well. Almost all kingdoms in the continent have similar power conditions. So, they don't fight head on and so there are no wars as of now. But they compete with others in other areas and constantly try to enhance their powers.

Compared to other countries, East Pheonix condition is a bit special because royal families in other three countries hold all the power but East Pheonix country royal family holds less power comparatively.

Royal family ancestor and Lin family ancestor were actually siblings and have good bonding. Lin family ancestor was a powerful cultivator and built a strong army that can rival all powerful forces on the continent, he is only interested in cultivation and building a powerful resource for the kingdom.

He is not interested in power struggle. Plus he is a straight forward person who may not be suitable for sitting on the thrown.

He never used any resources from the kingdom's treasury, he built the army with his own hands and hard work. So the Royal ancestor at that time, conferred a special status to the Lin family.

Both Siblings are born of same mother and father, but Royal Ancestor took after his father's family name but Lin ancestor took after his mother's family name.

The reason is that Lin family ancestor was saved from an evil cultivator by his mother who died right in front of him suffering inhuman torture. She saved his life while sacrificing her own.

So, Lin ancestor requested his father that he would want to take on his mother's family name and he was granted his wish. So a new Lin family was born. There was no Lin family before that, because his mother has an unknown background and they only know that her surname is Lin.

Lin Ancestor helped his brother who was born sick with everything he could and stabilised the country. They have no other siblings, so they always stood by each other and have good bonding.

Since then the Lin family became an independent entity with its own army and assets. Though they have royal blood but never competed for thrown and stayed as cultivators helping the kingdom when needed.

They became a special existence, over generations more and more powerful cultivators are born in the family. Since they have always extended their efforts in nurturing talents and cultivation, they became a powerhouse with no match in the entire continent. There are several branch families spread across the kingdom but main family stays in capital nurturing talents from main and branch families.

The current emperor is Ji Bingyun, he has 3 sons and 1 daughter. So the total royal lineage, there are only two girls born Ji Jia, the only princess and Lin Chijiu from Lin family. Since Lin family is from a royal lineage, they should also be given prince and princess titles. But since grandfather Lin never cared about titles and the Ji family neglected the issue, the titles are not conferred.

The Lin family did not even bother about the titles. The world respects the strong and not titles is what their perception is. So they only concentrated in cultivation.
