Planning Ahead

The Lin family believes everyone should have a chance to grow stronger. So, they train everyone, including maids like Cai Wei and Cai Meiying. Cai Wei, the elder of the two, possesses a calm, meticulous demeanour, excelling in strategic planning and organization. Her unwavering focus and attention to detail make her indispensable to Lin Chujiu's daily routines and responsibilities.

In contrast, Cai Meiying radiates warmth and empathy, effortlessly connecting with others through her compassionate nature and intuitive understanding of human emotions. Her nurturing presence brought comfort to Old Lin Chujiu during challenging times, fostering a sense of trust and camaraderie between them.

Together, Cai Wei and Cai Meiying navigate the complexities of their roles with grace and resilience, offering unwavering support to Lin Chujiu as they forge a path forward, bound by loyalty, sisterhood, and shared determination to overcome their tragic pasts.

Lost in her thoughts, Chujiu began to map out her next moves. She knew she needed to get better and find out who was betraying her family. Her Grandfather, along with Eldest Uncle, and Aunt, were already looking into it. Even though she was just 11 years old, Chujiu decided she needed to focus on getting stronger first.

She believed that once she healed from the poison, she could awaken her spiritual root and start her cultivation journey. Even though she was starting later than most people, Chujiu is confident about herself. She had other skills from her past life, and she was determined to work hard and make a name for herself, ensuring she could protect her family.

Once Chujiu become strong enough, she knew she had another mission: finding her parents. She had a strong feeling they were still alive somewhere. Chujiu was determined to locate them and bring them back home, reuniting her family once again.

Lin Chujiu gently took the cup of warm herbal tea from Cai Wei. As the aroma filled the room, Chujiu settled into a quiet, contemplative state, her thoughts solely on the mysterious poison coursing through her veins. The tranquility of the moment was interrupted only by the scratching of a quill as Chujiu meticulously detailed her symptoms and insights onto a parchment.

Her thoughts quickly turned to Master Lin, her eldest uncle. She had to talk to him about finding the treatment plan and it need a lot of herbs. Her grandfather is arranging a room for her study and nobody will know about it. He is going to arrange it in his own study room. There are a couple of secret rooms in his study which only he and his sons knew about. Now she will be allotted one of them for study.

Gathering her thoughts, she made her way through the familiar halls of her home, finally arriving at the door to Master Lin's study.

Knocking softly, Chujiu entered to find Master Lin surrounded by a myriad of ancient scrolls and texts. "Eldest uncle," Chujiu asked "How is it going? I also want a few herbs for now." She proceeded to explain her situation, watching as Master Lin's expression shifted from curiosity to deep concern.

Chujiu has drawn a few pictures of the herbs she needed and wanted to collect them to start her treatment plan first. This first step is common no matter what treatment method is used in future. She has to prepare her body first.

He checked the pictures and most of them seemed familiar.

However, gathering these ingredients wouldn't be a simple task. Recognising the gravity of the situation, Master Lin advised, "Most of these herbs are stocked in our family's medical centre. It's renowned for its vast collection and expertise. You'll find most of them you need there. The rest of them, I will issue tasks in the mission hall."

"Once I gather them, will let you know. Don't worry about it little jiu"

Grateful for her Eldest Uncle's support, Chujiu made her way to the Lin family's medical centre, an imposing structure that stood as a beacon of hope and healing within the community. As she entered, the distinct scent of medicinal herbs enveloped her, a comforting reminder of the centre's commitment to health and well-being.

Inside, she was greeted by the head herbalist, a wise and experienced old man known for his vast knowledge of medicinal properties. Showing him Master Lin's letter, Chujiu explained, "I need these herbs, please check their availability and pack them for me."

The herbalist, nodded. "Yes, Young miss" he assured her, setting off to gather the required herbs.

As Chujiu waited, she engaged in conversation with some of the physicians and aides within the centre. She came to an understanding of the facilities and resources available in the Lin Family medical centre. As expected, it is one of its kind. Lin family is family of cultivators and armed forces, they obviously needed a large in house medical centre. "Lin family has always prioritised the well-being of its members," one physician remarked. "That is why our medical centre is one among the best in this kingdom."

Another aide chimed in, "Yes, and the resources here are unparalleled. From rare herbs to advanced equipment, we have it all." They are really of their medical centre. 

Soon enough, the head herbalist returned with a collection of carefully selected herbs Handing them to Chujiu, he said, "Young miss, if you need anything else, please visit us again. We will do our best to find the herbs you need. If they are not here, we can still collect them for you."

The herbalists and their assistants are quite enthusiastic, after all its rare to meet Lin Family only heiress.

After thanking the staff, Chujiu left the medical Centre and soon returned to her courtyard.
