[Chapter 231] Blood Spilt Pt 7

He stares at me with shock for a momemnt before suddenly gripping my face. He twists around and swiftly slams me into the ground, using all his strength. The earth beneath me shatters as I feel blood flood into my mouth, the pressure in my face now fractured across my body. I glance at his shadow as I quickly use Shadow Transportation, falling through the ground before flying upwards behind him, my leg extended towards him.

But before I can make contact, the translucent shield reappears again, letting me quickly use it to launch back. I flip through the air before calmly landing on a tree, only for my vision to fill with blood as a few more debuffs appear on my interface. To name a few, heavy bleeding, fractured bones, impaired vision, impaired hearing, impaired thoughts, and sluggish movement.

As I read each one, I suddenly try to think, only for a haze to cover my mind. I feel my face as I feel my bones shifting back into place, the torn muscles across my head repairing quickly. Suddenly, I am encircled by several grey fireballs. I react by stomping on the tree limb beneath me, falling down to the ground as the fireballs cause a chain explosion from each other.

The debuffs disappear, leaving one, 'Just a few more seconds and it's gone. Then I can catch my breath and come up with a plan, but I think I have that shield figured out-'

My thoughts are interrupted by a voice seething with anger, "You asshole! I was talking and you had to interrupt me with that bullshittery of a move! Who taught you to fight like that?!"

I glare at him, his bare chest muscles revealed, showing that his regeneration isn't as intense as mine. My thoughts are now clear as I analyze the situation, having no intention to answer him, 'So if I'm right, his shield only protects his back, but whatever creates it is unknown to me.'

That's when I finally see it, my last debuff hit 1 second before disappearing from my bar. I hold out my hand as I yell with all my might, "Arise all those around me!"

And that's when I suddenly hear a bunch of pings in my ears as my shadow suddenly grows.

Roars echo from the forest as the trees begin to thrum with life. This is one thing I learned from my Shadow Recreation ability, it can be used 3 ways, on one target, in a visible area, and within a range.

However, I do not know what I am summoning when I use it in a range so I usually avoid it. Last time I did this, I had an army of squirrels which was hilarious, but I had to send them off due to numbers and storage limits.

Soldiers burst from my shadow as a glowing carapace crawls from within, coming to my side. A few moments later, I suddenly hear a shrill scream as Mayonaka pulls herself from my shadow, rearing for battle. The goat before me suddenly has a face of shock as he gazes at me, his aura before dimmer.

He looks at Yogan and Mayonaka as he asks in shock, "How can you summon them back already?! I had just dismissed them! That usually lasts for a few days…unless…."

He suddenly comes up with a theory as he yells, "Are you a demi-god?!"

I shake my head, "I'm only at Continental Class currently…however I have defeated a demi-god before. And I will defeat you the same way…"

My hand reaches out as a spirit appears in my hands, "…by destroying your soul since it seems to be pretty valuable."

But suddenly, I see another one appear, then another, and another. A few moments later, thousands of them pop into view, then hundreds of thousands. And I quickly realize, this soul isn't his, it's someone else's. I sigh as I recall what he said, about consuming tons of other souls. But for this many souls to still exist, he was probably absorbing them instead of consuming them. I shake my head as I point my hand at him, "This is going to take a minute of searching, stall him."

Suddenly, the dirt beneath me seems to tremble as hundreds of creatures charge from the forest, merging with my army before to swarm him. The army numbers in the tens of thousands as they charge at him, ready to do as told.

His face changes into a look of horror as he suddenly feels me sifting within his body, searching for his soul. He immediately realizes the urgency of this moment as he charges at me, only slowed down for a moment by the creatures. But within that moment, I found his soul.

Demi gods can regenerate their bodies or even replace them all together as long as they have their soul intact. But if their soul is destroyed, so is their entire being.

He reaches out for me as he yells with fear, anger, and shock, "Noooooooo!"

But before he can stop me, I squeeze it with all my strength, causing it to pop like a balloon. His face becomes emotionless as he falls to the ground, piling dirt in front of him before stopping in front of me.

I lean down as I knock on his head before I sighing in relief, "He's dead, well, not physically but mentally. He no longer has a soul to function…but due to the amount of souls he absorbed, I don't know what will happen."

That's when I suddenly hear a 2 Pings!

I smile at the new title, but still slightly irritated that I don't know what they do. But as I glance at the second Ping, I nearly have to do a double take.

"What the hell?!"
