Prologue
Yahveh's might no mortal can match!
He steers the cosmos to guide your path,
As you traverse the firmament of his glorious light.
The eternal God is your sanctuary and abode,
Beneath his ever-loving arms bestowed;
Chaos he vanquished, with a divine nod,
And commanded,
"Let destruction strike, and scatter the clod!"
Thus humanity dwells in tranquil peace,
While wisdom's spring remains hidden in nobility's crease,
In the land of new wine and the five valleys,
Dew descends from his heavens, which never parleys.
I am weary of the strictures and constraints
Of the Chinese internet's novel rankings and the elaborate requirements
Of popular online platforms like Qidian.
I can no longer bear the vanishing of religious myths and legends
From online novels, nor the inundation of Chinese harem and cheat novels,
Or the influx of two-dimensional and fan-fiction works
That threaten to destroy the creativity of Chinese online literature and beyond.
In this age, where gods are forgotten and mysteries lost,
Promoting good virtues and encouraging the spirit of courage and progress,
Spreading long-gone myths and creating works akin to the Homeric epics and the Aeneid,
May seem out of step with the times.
But I still yearn to wield my pen and craft a great work,
Free from endless desires and harem intrigue.
I aspire to present the ancient Hebrew myths and the deity Yahweh's evolution and transformation,
Through the lens of a Chinese perspective.
