Arabic Tales

In the Arabic context known by generosity, which was a prized and appreciated quality, stories of the Arabs criticize, with a light irony, avarice. Arabic storytellers, in Stories of misers, aim for leisure and dream, putting forward features of an amusing personality, without offending or stigmatizing. However, on the contrary, these misers enjoy rather empathy and pity, the ultimate aim is the amusement of the reader while preserving the status of the miser. One of the specificities of the Arab Anecdote, is a relation of spontaneity, without psychoanalysis of the person, a lenient text reflecting the desire to let all take part in pleasure and humor. The avarice is indeed a nonacceptable quality, but the great author comically describes this quality, to sympathize with the personality, inviting it to correct his behavior and to come back to the group. Arab anecdotes of misers were popular among people, and were an amusing subject of writers, especially when anecdote joins together the personality of the miser and that of the greedy one; the scene becomes a conflict between the two; while one declines, the other wishes, creating situations causing rapture and laughter. It's an Arab literary kind which had its place beside the other kinds, poetry, speeches, and letters… and had itsgreat authors on avarice and misers since Al-Asmaï, Ibn Qutayba, Al-Jahiz, Abu Hayyan Al-Tawhidi, and many others. We will find in this collection of 'Anecdotes of the misers', from an important book, or rather a rich encyclopedia of the Arab-Islamic heritage of stories and accounts of the Islamic era, itself having inspired by the old works-sources of the great authors referred to above.

Clockhead Pendulum

Taking place in the Steampunk Victorian Era, Lady Jane, a 20-year-old year old woman, lives a simple but hard life as she struggles to make friends due to her seemingly frightening aura around her. Her friend Bess is immune to it and tells Jane about the ball that is tonight and that she must arrive. Later on Bess is revealed to be a fake friend for the readers but not for Jane. Jane's mother also tells her about the ball and tells her about the Ultimate Rich man named Ulrich, who is coming to the ball as the main reason the ball is even happening. Later on at the ball, Jane's telepathic father who works as an inventor tells her about the Menzoden of Minatzbern. In layman's terms, the scariest organization in Minatzbern, even scarier than Jane's aura. her mother is also aware, knowing this, Jane walks away from the scene and tries to distract herself with food but gets far too distracted as the leader of the Mendozen appears in front of her, almost like he was summoned, and Jane tries to politely walk away, while he follows behind, still skeptical of her. The leader then reveals why he arrived at the ball and kills Ulrich with a gun in front of everyone, which sends everyone into panic, as they try to run for the exit, but like magic the doors automatically close, locking everyone in. The massacre begins, the building explodes and Jane tries to get her parents out, but she is only who survives this, standing in the flames, eyes red with tears of despair, she breaks down and vows revenge on the Mendozen, when suddenly, everything is changed. Time, to be specific. She is back at the ball and everyone is alive, the Mendozen hasn't arrived yet.

1. Disclaimers are no excuse to copy paste other works. 2. Stop posting copied stories on your account. I had a look and you only have two stories that actually belong to you. One was so bad that you deleted the chapters to stop people from reading it and reviewing it poorly. The other just doesn't have anything on it. 3. It's just an overall insult to the actual creators.
