========================================

Mary Ann, a junior maid at the House of Canterbury, completes her work at the Duke's Mansion after a night's work. A sixteen-year-old country girl who has come to serve as a maid for the Duke of Canterbury after being recommended by the Duchess's grandmother ( Evelyn Lily Montefiore). She's been working at the building for four and a half months in order to pay her rent and her mother's medical bills. She leaves after finishing her shift to join her friends at a festival that has been set up. Someone stops her as she walks away. She notices the butler of the residence as she turns to respond.

"Ah Mary, you've arrived," exclaimed the Head Butler.

"Yes, sir," Mary Ann replied, "I'm just leaving for home."

"Thank you for your hard work," the butler says as he takes some money from his pocket and hands it to her.

"Sir, it's not my pay day," she explained.

"I know it's a minor perk. The palace has always been brightened because of you, and as the youngest, you put in a lot of effort, so you deserve it "said the butler as he patted her on the back. "Go ahead and have a good night, okay?"

"Thank you very much, sir," Mary Ann said, bowing.

"Go, have a good night," the butler said as he walked away.

"Yes"

She is overjoyed that she will be able to enjoy the money she has been given. As she walks, she notices some of the house staff leaving; she smiles and can't wait to attend the festival; as she walks, she notices a dress that she had purchased from her uncle, a dressmaker, and had personally requested for her birthday. She goes into her room to try on the dress. Looking in the mirror, she resembled a maiden about to be confessed. As she arrives at her friend's house and departs with them, she heads to the tavern she had reserved for the evening.

As she walks through the garden, she notices a similar face, which appeared to be that of an angel who had ascended. As she approaches. At this point, she notices a rather familiar figure on the other side of the garden, directly opposite her, next to the house where she works. She met a young lady named Elsa Canterbury, who is both her master and the duke's daughter. She was humming as she sat on the bench, gazing at the stars.

The young princess wore a nightgown and wore her natural blonde hair back in a ponytail. She was stunning in front of the moon. People had admired her during her coming-of-age ceremony because she was said to be a most charming lady. As Mary Ann gets a closer look, she breaks a branch from the ground, causing the princess to react. She raises her buttocks, leans forward, and takes a firm step onto the ground. Mary emerges from the bush and greets her as she checks who's there.

They pass each other by. A brief moment, a short distance, those few glances are all she needs to see how the moonlight falls on the young princess. According to Mary, her ponytail sways here and there – she is truly energetic.

A princess of high status who is known as the most charming lady in the capital. She was said to be intelligent because she excelled in her ettique class at such a young age. She's not your typical next-door girl; rather, she's a free-spirited individual who enjoys socializing. They first met briefly when Mary Ann was assigned to serve Lady Elsa. Their relationship is also fleeting, but she has a strong opinion of her. Though she enjoys attending tea parties, she lacks friends her age because the other girls are jealous and refuse to speak with her, but that is irrelevant to her.

As they both look at each other, Lady Elsa turns and walks to the other side, preventing Mary Ann from suspecting anything as she rushes to the town.

As she attends the festival with her friends. They enjoy eating skewers and popcorn, playing games, and watching entertainment, and later they enjoy the fireworks that were lit up in the sky. As she sees them, she remembers the princess and wonders if she could have seen the fireworks as well. They eventually arrived at the tavern where she had reserved a room and then dispersed as they made their way to the quarters. Mary Ann goes for a walk at midnight to get some exercise and sees the lady still in the garden.

"What is she doing here?" Mary Ann is puzzled. The lady turns as she gets closer. "Who?" she asks.

"Evening, my lady?" she says as she comes to a halt.

"Oh, it's you, Mary," the lady says, "you look dressed, have you possibly come from the festival?"

She gives a nod.

"I see, I saw the fireworks from the balcony but couldn't see them clearly because they were so far away."

"I see my lady," I say.

"So"

"So?..." Mary wonders.

"How was the festival?" lady Elsa inquires.

"Oh, it was splendid. There was singing and dancing, me and my friends were having all kinds of food and the fireworks were magical" mary answers happily

The lady smiles, "I see, you had a great time, I wish i were there, but as a noble, I can't enjoy the ways of a commoner"

she asks her, "What's wrong ?"

Her eyes twinkled, and her skin glistened. "I wish I could be like my grandmother, who was once a commoner; she, too, must have enjoyed her days as a commoner before joining the nobles. Though she was the former duchess, she used to give me treats, particularly candy apples, when I was a child, but after she died, my mother stopped everything that my grandmother cherished and taught me the noble way, which really irritated me. So, every night, I look up at the stars and see my grandmother, who has now become a star, and I always wonder if she is watching over me." "My lady!" " Her tone was reverent as well, as she saw the lady upset.

She pulls something from her sachel and hands it to the lady, saying, "My lady, please take this."

"What is this?" the lady inquires. "It's called caramel candies, which my mother used to make and mail to me every two months; I want you to have it." Mary speaks with a smile.

"Really, can I have it?" the lady inquires.

Mary gives a nod.

The princess opens the wrapper and takes a bite, her cheeks turning bright red as she enjoys the flavor. She was tasting like a four-year-old, despite being two years older than Mary.

Her enthusiasm causes her to chuckle. She motions to her master. "How does it taste, my lady?"

Yes!" she said confidently, smiling as she tried another one

Mary Ann smiles and then has an epiphany, "My lady, please wait a moment," as she runs out, perplexing the lady. She later returns with a bucket and a match box.

"What is it?" inquires the lady.

"Here my lady, Pleasee hold the handle," Mary says as she pulls out a gleaming stick and lights it with a match.

As the lady held, her eyes brightened and tears streamed down her cheeks.

"I'm glad to hear that, my lady," Mary responds as she notices the stick thinning. "Oh, it appears to be over; may I give one more?"

"That would be wonderful," the princess says with a smile.

As Mary enters the light, the princess notices a spark around her as she looks through her eyes and smiles, causing her to flutter. Something really sparked that day, and it was a night the lady would never forget.
