Scars ( Second part of ' A love story')

Ivy's POV

"Ivy, get up! Wake up dear!" my sleep got disturbed by my dad's voice. Why? I am tired! I want to sleep some more!

"Dad, five minutes! Please" I begged.

"Dont forget! It's Saturday!" then why is he even calling me?

"Dad! It's Saturday!"

"Exactly! Its already 8 am! You have to reach there by 10 !" dad said.

Oh shit! I have a match today! How could I even forget it?

"Dad! Why didn't you wake me earlier?" I asked sitting up!

"Get ready now!" he said chuckling.

Oh god! Why? Its a very important match for me. If we could score a few points today, it would be more easier for me to get into the national team. Yes! That's my dream! Basketball National team!

I got up and ran to bathroom and took a quick shower. I wore a white t-shirt and black jeans. I packed my team uniform and some other necessary things. I stood in front of the mirror and started doing my makeup. You must be thinking why I am applying makeup when I am going for a match…to hide this shitty scar that starts from the left side of my lips and ends near my left ear. I got it from a car accident when I was an infant. At my parents wedding… yes! I and my brother Ivan are two lucky fellows who got the chance to witness their parents tying knot! Back to the point! On my parents wedding day, my aunt Esther hid my scar with makeup!

I still remember that day! I left so happy seeing my face without a scar! Then I slowly started studying the art of makeup and now I am an expert that it looks so natural! I finished my look by applying a bit of lipbalm. I looked at my watch… and oh god! It's already 8:45!

I ran downstairs and Jake is already there, waiting for me!

"Good morning, sleeping beauty!" he teased me.

Jake is my best friend! Partner in crime! We have known each other for 8 years!

"Ivy, breakfast!" my mom called out from kitchen.

"Mom, I am late! " I said.

"I know! So I packed it for you!" she understands me well.

She brought two boxes of food and said"One for you and one for Jake."

I took the boxes of food from her and gave her a peck on her cheek and hugged dad tightly! Then I ran out dragging Jake along with me!

"Fast ! " I shouted. We wore helmet and got on my motorcycle. He is driving today as I don't want to get tired even before the match starts! We have to travel for around 1 hour to reach the school were the match is taking place. I had my food and fed him with my own hands as he is driving!

I locked my hands around his waist and rested my head on his shoulder and enjoyed the breathtaking view around us.

Jake's POV

I got up even before the sun is up and started writing in the silence. I love silence, but only when I am writing! Yes! My dream is to become an author who could write stories that touch people's heart! Now I am writing novel's online like Ivy suggested.

Well, I am the kind of guy who enjoys his life to the fullest and my bestfriend Ivy also! Rose aunty always says that I am the reason why Ivy turned out like this! Well, it's partially true! I still remember how she came to my house with Rose aunty. She was scared to leave her hand at first. But later I succeeded taking her to my room and I tried my level best to play with her. But… Still! I successfully made her my bestfriend, even if it took me a month! Later, I also succeeded making her as talkative and wierd like me! In three months we will both become college students! We are both planning to go to the same college, but different departments. She is planning to study sports management and I'll be studying English literature.

I don't know when it started but I have feelings for Ivy! I discovered this fact 5 years ago! But I am scared to confess. She is my bestfriend afterall! I can't lose her! In each and every story I write, she is the heroine and I am the hero! Even if I give different names, the only face that I could imagine is her's!

After writing a few pages, I got up and went to take a quick shower. Then I wore a white shirt and black jeans. It's saturday , I know! But Ivy has a match today and I insisted to go with her! I went downstairs and kissed my mom on her cheek. She asked me to have breakfast, but I said no as I am already late! I went to Ivy's house. Well it's next door!

"Goodmorning aunty!" I greeted Rose aunty and gave her a side hug. She patted my back and wished me good morning. Then she went to kitchen. She has a daughter who is 18 years old, a son who is 17 and a daughter who is 11, but still looks so young and energetic. I followed her and sat on the kitchen counter and chatted with her.

"You had breakfast?" she asked me and I lied that I had. She packed Ivy's breakfast on a box and packed on for me too, even if I said no!

Here comes our sleeping beauty! She grabbed the boxes of food from aunty and dragged me along with her. I started driving her motorcycle.

"Ahh..! " She started feeding me sandwitch as both my hands are busy. And I love it!

After that she locked her hands around my waist and rested her head on my shoulder. I wish that this could last forever!
