Ecrin and Eleni

Diary,

"We didn't really find anything substantial; in fact we hid most of the time." Ray said.

"We got some chocolates from the lounge though. It's been days since we last ate anything good. I really wish we could get some fruits" Anaia said.

"Don't worry, I believe God'll provide for us." Tony said.

"Looks like someone's coming. Shh!" I said, alarmed. Suddenly, two dark-olive skinned girls walked in. They looked very beautiful and young but the aura they carried was quite initimidating.

"Come with us." One of them said simply as we all exchanged looks before going out the door with them. Surprisingly, we were taken to the lounge where the dining table was flooded with all sorts of delicacies. My stomach began to rumble as a rude reminder for not eating.

"Help yourselves-"

"No." Ray said firmly which surprised the rest of us. He was the one who had complained of hunger the most few minutes ago but now, he took no hesitation to rejecting it. One of the girls smiled sympathetically.

"You guys haven't eaten anything tangible in days. You can't die here, you'll have to eat something." She said.

"Okay, you have nothing to fear. I'm Ecrin, it's nice to meet you." She said, grinning widely.

"Nice to meet you? "Lissa asked.

"Yeah, I'm Eleni. Nice to meet you too. "The other girl said. Lissa looked at me with an absurd expression while Tony eyed them warily.

"Thank you very much for the offer. But we can't eat this." I said as the girl's expression fell.

"But these foods are so good and delicious! And they're waiting to be eaten." She added with a laugh.

"No thank you. We know they look good and all but that's not the point. We cannot eat the food that has been sacrificed to other gods. You do know that don't you?" Anaia said as they girls exchanged surprised looks.

"Yeah, if you want us to eat something so badly then get us fruits and vegetables. We'd look even better than the rest of y'all who have been eating these." Ray said as I laughed inwardly, remembering the story of Daniel and his friends.

"Okay then, we'll call you when they're ready." Eleni said as we left. I noticed something off about them, they seemed nice and all but there was something deep and mystical about them.

"Did you see thebway Ecrin was lo ok king at Tony?" Anaia suddenly as me as my eyes grew wide. I thought I was the only one who noticed it!

"It had better not be what I'm thinking. "I said.

After eating the fruits ( not before praying and getting the go-ahead though) Ecrin walked into the room and sat on a chair.

"Hi guys" she said cheerily as Ray grunted.

"What do want? We have exhausted the fruits and vegetables you gave us yet." He said as I patted his arm to calm him down. My brother could be really impulsive at times.

"Yeah I'm not here for the food-"

"Okay?" Lissa urged.

"I wanna help you guys-"

"What?!" We all asked, alarmed as Anaia had a bemused expression.

"I'm serious guys. I know you are powerful, I know that you'll escape soon and I want to go with you. I'm tired of serving Kyros. He's a heartless, selfish, wicked man!" She said, sobbing already.

"What are you talking about? What do you mean, you know we're powerful? What power are you talking about? "She looked surprised after I asked my question.

"Uh-uhm I know it. I've heard you guys pray and whenever you do so, Kyros gets so mad and the whole buid is unstable. We don't stay in this place while you guys pray. I need that power too, I envy the love you guys share, even in captivity. I've seen anything like tit before." She said as a deafening silence fell across the room.

"Thanks but still, we decline your offer to help us." Tony said, Icily as she stood up with her head bowed and proceeded to leave the room.

"Tony!" Lissa scolded.

"What? We all know she s on their side. How could we possibly trust her? "He said, not minding that she was still in the room. I just sat there, confused. I didn't know what to say with her but I agreed with Tony about not trusting her.

"I can help you conduct a background search on Kyros Caelum Bronson." She said, smirking as Lissa and I gasped, sharing a surprised look while Tony's expression was unreadable. Anaia and Ray looked lost.

"What?!"

"Have you been spying on us?" Tony asked.

"Spying? I didn't even try." She said, laughing wildly.
