Chapter 2 : Lucky day !

Everything was dark around him, as if he was back in the void...did he die after his fight against the Ursa? No, it was different... like he was diving deep into his own mind, but how did he get here and where is his real body at this moment?

All those questions that were running through his mind disappeared when he heard something, something strange....it sounded like some kind of breathing but really loud and deep as if it was coming from some kind of creature.

Muted grunts could be heard among the breathing and the breathing became louder and louder to the point where Jasper could no longer stand it and wanted to get out of this place at all costs.

*Gasp*

He opened his eyes suddenly while breathing rapidly as if he had held his breath longer than he should have. He could feel gobs of sweat running down his forehead and wiped them away with the back of his hand. He doesn't know what just happened but it was really intense to experience.

He stood still for a moment before realizing where he was. What he saw was not the forest sky but a ceiling.

he looked all around him to notice that he was in a room that was strangely familiar to him, as if he had already seen it somewhere.

He didn't have time to investigate the question when he heard footsteps heading towards the room where he was. The door opened and a man entered. He has blond hair that has two small strands sticking out from the top and blue eyes. His facial hair consists of a soul patch and small stubble along his jawline.

He wears brown cargo shorts with a dark brown belt, black shoes, a red bandana on his left arm and a brown leather vest over a tan dress shirt with the right sleeve cut off. he wears a metal spaulder, leather vambrace and a brown fingerless glove all on his right arm.

When the man entered the room Jasper immediately recognized who it was.

'Taiyang Xiao Long.... this confirms the fact that I have indeed ended up in the world of RWBY....'

Seeing that Jasper was awake, Tai approached him.

"You're awake! Well...I started to wonder if you were ever going to wake up, you were unconscious for 2 days."

Hearing this, Jasper couldn't help but look surprised.

" Two days ! "

"Indeed, I was coming home from work when I heard a commotion coming from the forest, I went to check where it was coming from and that's when I found you on the ground unconscious in a bad state."

"Really? Well thank you very much I don't know how I would have ended up if you hadn't found me."

"Don't worry, it's normal, although I have to admit that I'm curious to know how you ended up in such a state? Do you remember what happened?"

Jesper lowered his head and searched his memory to remember. Suddenly several images flashed in his mind. The forest, the grimm, the dagger, his fight against the ursa.

"I remember...I was fighting against an ursa in the forest."

Tai's face was covered in an expression of shock upon hearing this.

"What?! You fought against an ursa? when you don't even have an aura...well I mean you didn't have one at that time."

hearing this jasper raised an eyebrow.

"What do you mean by that?"

Tai sighed while rubbing the back of his head before speaking again.

"You see....when I found you you were really badly banged up and I didn't know if you were going to make it before I took you home to treat you so...the only solution I have found was to unblock your aura to help you heal and stabilize your condition."

"Well thank you, you clearly saved my ass there!"

"Hmph you're welcome kid, by the way I'm Tai, Taiyang Xialong."

"Jasper Just....Jasper."

"Well jasper it's a pleasure to meet you but if you don't mind I'd like to know where you come from and why you were in the forest fighting an ursa?"

At this question Jasper remained silent, thinking about what he could say. He wasn't going to tell him that he comes from another world, that he has a video game boss in him and by the way this world is a simple animated series in his world.

That wasn't going to do it, he thought for a moment and found no other idea than to play the amnesia card.

"I don't remember much...just that I was in this forest and that the grimm attacked me, the rest seems completely blurry to me..."

"Hmm it is possible that your memory was affected because of the blows you suffered during your fight against the grimm...."

'Luckily he took the bait!'

"Yeah…"

"Hmmm I should let you rest, I've had something to eat downstairs, if you ever get hungry, you can join me."

"Of course, thanks again for everything!"

Tai nodded before turning and leaving the room. Once again, only Jasper let out a sigh. A lot has happened since he arrived here but for now he was just happy to have come out of his first fight alive.

He thought about everything that had gone through his head but one detail in particular caught his attention. During his fight he was able to summon the cinquedea, would that mean that the boss he was linked to was...

This seemed to be the logical answer but he wanted to be clear about it and at the same time check if he could summon the dagger again.

he sat down on the bed and raised his hand but nothing happened. He tried the same procedure several times but nothing happened.

He scratched the back of his head confused not seeing how he could summon it, when he thought back to where he was before he woke up.

Maybe that was the solution to his problem but how does he get back there? He thought for a moment before closing his eyes and completely blanking his mind.

He stayed like that for a while and several minutes passed but as time passed he could feel what was around him disappearing until there was nothing left.

He opened his eyes and to his surprise he was back in the video.

Suddenly he heard behind him the grunts he had heard before waking up. he turned around and that's when he saw it.

A creature of enormous size covered completely in a clerical robe tied with ropes and its hands and back legs covered with pieces of fabric.

Seeing this, Jasper couldn't help but smile.

'So it was really you to whom I was linked....'
