A young man died in his sleep, meeting someone who calls herself Origin he reincarnates to the RWBY world as the twin brother of Ruby Rose. Knowing what will happen in the near future he does whatever it takes for his family's survival. So yeah first fanfic, I accept criticism as it will help me improve as a author. I thank you for reading
[A/N: Just to inform you all, I will refer the Mc as 'It' until the Mc reincarnates]
"How long has it been since I died." The soul said as it drifts around the infinite void, "I had a good life... but that doesn't seem to matter now." It said sorrowfully. It continues to drift in the infinite void that is until a bright light appeared behind it. The light reached out to the soul and grabbed it, right after the light and the soul disappear from the void.
"nngghh... My head.." The soul said as it held where it's head was supposed to be, it looked around and saw that it wasn't in the void anymore but in a garden filled with different kinds of roses. "Where... Am I?" It muttered, soon after a bright light appeared infront of him.
blinded by how bright it was, the soul covered it's non-existant eyes. As the light faded a girl with yellow hair garbed a white robe came into view. She opened her eyes revealing her light blue eyes, she then smiled at the soul.
"Hello young one, my name is Origin and welcome to my realm" Origin introduced herself to the soul, "Ah hello my name is... uhhh..." The soul said before becoming silent, it looked at the girl with an apologetic expression, "I am sorry Ms. Origin but I seem to have forgotten my name" it said, Origin chuckled a bit.
"It is fine, that's natural because the dead does not need their memories of when they were alive anymore" She said, it looked confused, "But I still have my memories I just can't remember my name" surprised by the words of the soul she looked at it with interest.
"Hmm.. that is strange, souls should not have kept their memories after death" She then held up her hand as a book appeared in her hand. She then connected a thin thread to the soul. The soul not knowing what to do stayed still and waited for Origin to finish.
She then looked at the book and read what was written in it. A frown graced her face as she looked at the soul with an apologetic expression, "I'm sorry for your death" she said while bowing a little, flustered the soul said with haste, "A-ah please don't bow, I didn't do anything to receive your forgiveness"
"That's because it wasn't you who did anything, It was one of the gods that did" She said with slight irritation, confused the soul asked why, "Well you see I read in the book that you weren't supposed to die this young, but because of a clumsy god you died" She said, she summoned a chair and sat on it while rubbing her head.
"W-what!?" Wide eyed it yelled, Origin then looked at the shocked soul, "I shall compensate you for your death with 2 wishes and the world of your choosing" she said, the soul a little angry shouted, "I don't need the compensation I want to go back to my world!" it said, Origin just smiled and pulled up a screen infront of her.
She showed a video of it's family infront of it's grave, it couldn't see it's name because it's family blocked the view of it's grave. The little brother of the soul set down a bouquet of flowers, "Hey big bro, it's me... I just want to tell you that we're doing well here, I finally got a girlfriend just like you wanted me to have.. Don't worry big bro I'll take care of Ma and Pa in your place, Till next year bro we love you" The video footage then cuts off while the soul now had tears in it's eyes.
"I can't go back now can't I?" Origin nodded at the soul's question, it wiped it's tears and faced Origin with an expression saying that it had no more regrets. She smiled and summoned a chair for the soul, "So what will your wishes be?" she said, The soul went into deep thought. It looked at Origin and said "First of all I want to thank you showing me my family one last time" Origin nodded
"Alright, I want to be reincarnated to the RWBY world as the Twin brother of Ruby Rose" Origin nodded and wrote it down in a scroll labeled 'World and Wishes', "Then I wish for a body that has the highest potential, you know like enhanced regeneration, enhanced comprehension, intelligence, etc."
It continued, "And lastly I wish for the power to Duplicate" Origin glanced at it, "Duplicate?" she asked, "Ah like I use my aura to coat something for example Metal or Dust then I use my power to create an exact copy of it"
"Does the duplicated item disappear?" Origin asked, It shook it's head. She then put her finger to her chin thinking. The soul sweated, it hoped that his request is approved. Origin then looked back at the soul and said, "Alright I'll approve your wish but I will have to put limitations to your ability" It nodded.
Origin wrote it on the scroll, she then closed it and made it disappear, "Okay it is done, may you have a happy second life little one" The soul then slowly disappears in motes of lights. Once that the soul was gone Origin sighed, "This is the last time I'm letting End press that kill random human button"
