Chapter-9[Cooking Acquired!]

'Should I tell him about it...?'

This thought continued to plague Ariana, she wanted to keep this a secret...she knows that it's cruel of her to not even tell her children about it but she is ready to bear the responsibility for that...but the mark on Kyle's face is making her decision waver...she can't decide whether to do it or not...

'I will think about it when I am alone...and we also have someone else here...'

She decided to think about it later on when she is alone. The secret will change the life of her children and she doesn't want to play with it.

Kyle observed Ariana for a while, and seeing her relax a little, he turned his eyes towards his sister who is looking at him intently, with a questioning look, he asked,

"What happened?"

"What happened to your appearance..?"

Emma asked. She saw how different his appearance looked right now, if previously he was like a star, now he looked like a top star. And she felt that the change in him is not just his appearance but also something else....something which she already saw...his emotions, he is not smiling widely like he used to be and the way he looked at her, she saw indifference, something that the previous Kyle had never shown before.

"Just a side effect...nothing major."

Kyle answered while showing a smile, he know and could already feel that his change of emotions is already felt by others but he can't do anything about it. So, he just decided to put all the blame on the side-effect for now.

Meanwhile, Amelia observed all this from the sidelines, while also showing jealousy seeing their loving and caring family, something she always wanted but never got...

"I see...then Big Brother, do you know the whole thing that happened between you and Sophia?"

"I have no interest in knowing about that...what I know is that I waste too much time on love and other things which could be utilized to do other things. And, I don't even want to hear about that."

Kyle answered while shaking his head. He is not interested in listening to anything related to Sophia, but he for sure felt a little thankful to her...cause of her, he was able to meet and have Eve, and become stronger. If not for Sophia saying those words, Kyle's life would be the same, dull and living in the disdain of others.

Hearing Kyle's words, the eyes of Ariana, Emma, and Amelia opened wide in surprise. Knowing how much he loved her, and now he is saying that...something they never thought was possible, even if they started to hate Sophia, they already thought that Kyle would forgive her...but his reaction to this is completely different than any of the scenarios in their mind making them unable to know what to say for some time.

After some time, Emma nodded her head, and with a beautiful smile on her face, she said,

"Good Big Brother, I support this idea, and she is not for you...there are many ladies out there who will love you..."

Emma knew that with the handsome face that her brother got, it's not a problem for him to get a girlfriend at all...but a loyal one is...

Kyle nodded his head, and they talked about some random things till both Emma and Ariana left to sleep as they hadn't taken a good sleep since he vanished. And Amelia needs to spend some time alone to have her thoughts cleared.

Left alone in the room with Amelia, Kyle asks,

"Would you like to eat anything?"

But his tone returned to cold again making Amelia wonder, 'did he get a double personality disorder...?', but nodded her head

"Yes, but are you cooking..?"

Kyle nodded and walked to the kitchen and put on an apron and started to cook some Egg Toast, simply breaking the egg in a beaker, putting some vegetables he cut and started mixing them...but stopped as a screen popped in front of him,

The more you cook, the better your food will become. This skill helps you easily dismantle the material for cooking, use your knife in the best way to cut right through the good points in your materials, and many other things, which are for the host to search for.

'So, I am even going to get skills related to even these types of things...then I should be able to acquire skills for other things too...and this skill will show its benefits not even in cooking but also when I had to kill something...'

[Yes Host, you could learn any skill you want, if you have some experience in doing that thing. You had cooked before and all those records which the system saved from your memory turned into the appropriate skill for you. And there are many skills which you could use even outside of their own expertise.]

'I see...then I will start to practice about all that...'

Kyle then continued to cook and the more he cooked, the more fluent his moments becomes. But the skill showed no sign of Level up, showing how hard it is to level up a skill- according to Kyle.

After 5 minutes, Kyle placed two Egg Toasts, one in front of Amelia and the other in front of himself, and started eating. Amelia following Kyle also starts to eat and at her first bite, her eyes wide opened, not because of how tasty it was, it tastes normal...but the fact that Kyle cooked something normal...to be honest, she had thought of it to taste gross.

Kyle seeing her reaction shook his head and continued eating, but inside, he is talking to Eve.

'Eve, What do I need to train [Demonic Energy]?'

[Host, you could do it manually by starting from controlling a little amount of it. As your bloodline seems to be quite pure, even while most of it is locked, the purity in it made you have a good affinity towards it. The same is for Mana, but you need to find Magic Civilization first to acquire their knowledge and make use of Mana.]

'I see...can't you just give me some knowledge about the magic and stuff...?'

[No, and this will help you complete the objective of your quest.]

Kyle nodded mentally, he understood that it will help him complete his quest but at the same time, he is curious about Magic as what the Hunters always used were skills, there was not a single mention of Magic. But the most important reason, Magic will make him stronger, something he always welcome.

After eating, Kyle sent Amelia to a guest room as she had just flown the whole night from a flight to visit Emma, so she is also tired. He also wanted to get some rest first, the things that happened with him put a troll to his mind, even if it doesn't show.

During dinner, Kyle, Ariana, Emma, and Emma sat at the dining table after Ariana served the food, and Ariana turns at her son, eating his favorite dishes that she created, and asks,

"What are your plans now?"

'I should probably let it remain a secret, there is no need to add unnecessary worry...and if a problem does arise...we will change our residence...', She had decided to keep it a secret to keep her life ongoing and now that her son is alright, she knew if he got to know about it, he will put himself at unnecessary risk which is the last thing she wants to see right now. And his strength is still nothing...if they got to know about her family then only problems would arise for her...

Kyle thought for a second before answering what he thinks should he do first,

"I am planning on updating my Huter's License and taking a test for the D-Rank promotion, after which, I will take holiday from the University and venture the dungeons to make-up for my loss of three years."

Ariana's eyes showed worry for a second, knowing her son is going to venture into dangerous places, but she knew that she can't trap her children, she decided to worry alone...her children need motivation from her, not her needlessly long worry...

"Be careful, the dangers lurking in the dungeons are unknown...so pleases make your life your biggest priority."

Kyle nods his head seriously, how could he not know the dangers of a dungeon when he already died in one...

"Big Brother, could I also come with you?"

Emma asked in a hopeful tone, she wants to venture into the dungeon...actually she could already venture, with her first skill, she is eligible to venture in the dungeons, but Kyle never allowed it. He is worried for her safety, and he saw how the newbies get over-excited, and then not even their body is found. And there are also many Newbie hunters venturing in the dungeons nowadays to kill the newbies and have their stuff...so when he is strong enough, he is going to take her in the dungeon himself.

"No, but when I am strong enough, I will take you there myself."

Emma hearing that put a disappointed look but still nodded her head, knowing that Kyle is worried for her safety. Amelia looked at them and after thinking about some time, she asked,

"Could I also go with you....as I am planning on transferring to this city for now..."
