Rejected My Ex, Married His Evil Boss

The decorations were beautiful, the lights were blinding and the outfits the guests wore were extremely extravagant. You could see just how much effort had been put in to make this day perfect.

On the stage, a couple stood holding each other's hands tightly. Their eyes were full of tears while professing their love for each other. Chen Xu was the first to pick up the microphone,

"Brother Jiang, I fell in love with you on the very first day that I saw you and I am very happy that I 

get to spend the rest of my life with you," Chen Xu's voice quivered with emotion. The crowd erupted in applause, and Jiang Lei, her newlywed husband, wiped away a tear from the corner of his eye.

As the applause subsided, Jiang Lei took the microphone, a loving smile on his face, "Chen Xu, from the moment I met you, I knew my life was about to change for the better. Your love has transformed me, and I am grateful for every moment we've shared. Today, surrounded by our friends and family, I promise to love you unconditionally, through all the ups and downs that life may bring."

The crowd erupted yet again but at the corner of the room, someone suddenly scoffed, "Heh!"

The person was dressed in a maroon dress that almost echoed the bride's red one. She looked exquisite with simple make-up and her dark, flowing hair cascading down her shoulders. However, her expression was anything but celebratory.

This was Chen Mumu, Chen Xu's sister and Jiang Lei's ex-fiancée.

As the room quieted down after the couple's exchange of vows, Chen Mumu's scoff had not gone unnoticed. Some guests exchanged curious glances, unsure of the source of her displeasure.

Chen Xu, who was still up on the podium looked down and in a moment, her eyes turned murderous. She quickly went down and stood in front of Chen Mumu, her expression a mixture of shock and anger.

She could not believe Chen Mumu would actually come here!

"What do you think you are doing here?"

She whispered so that the other guests could not hear what they were talking about but they still did because the room had been hushed.

Jiang Lei also came down and looked at Chen Mumu. His eyes danced around her perfect figure for a moment before he looked up,

"Mumu, I know I wronged you by cancelling our engagement but just like I said before, I am in love with Chen Xu and she is the one I want to marry!"

His expression was so sincere that Chen Mumu almost threw up just by looking at that stupid face of his.

He had been her fiancé up until last week when he broke off their two-year engagement. He also announced that the person he loved had always been Chen Xu and not her!

After such a declaration, he bent down and asked Chen Xu to marry her which she readily accepted.

Chen Mumu's heart had been in turmoil. Her mother was sick and she needed money for treatment. She came over to ask him for help yet she was served separation news instead. Her heart hurt so much that she thought she was going to die

Chen Xu also echoed, "I love brother Jiang so much! I cannot bear to part with him, sister, you really have to let go of him and stop being so resentful! He has already declared his love for me!"

When the guests heard that, they started piecing together the bits and pieces to make a full story. They also started murmuring.

Some two guests on the side started discussing. One of them said, "I can't believe what 

I'm seeing. This is like a soap opera unfolding right in front of us."

The other nodded in agreement, "Yeah, it's like a love triangle, but with a twist. And who even is that girl, I have never seen her before! Why is Chen Xu saying those words to her?"

As the guests whispered amongst themselves, Chen Xu's face contorted in anger. She had planned this engagement ceremony so meticulously only for Chen Mumu to come and destroy it!

Chen Mumu looked at the couple who were holding hands affectionately and scoffed. She looked at Jiang Lei, "You are wrong, I am not really here to pester you to come back to me. In fact, I even brought a gift to show my good will!"

When she heard the word 'gift' Chen Xu felt some foreboding feeling rising up inside her. There was no way Chen Mumu was up to any good!

She tried to refuse, "We do not need your gift, please leave so that we can continue with our engagement in peace!"

Chen Mumu laughed, "No way I am leaving, this heavy gift is a lot to carry back home so let me just give it to you so that it can spear me all the effort besides, you will love it!"

She winked towards Chen Xu and Jiang Le who could not say a word. They could also not send Chen Mumu away forcefully as that would create a scene so they only watched as Chen Mumu walked up and took the microphone.

"Ladies and gentlemen, I am very sorry for the interruption but since my sister is getting engaged today, I should also come in and give her my good wishes, it is only the right thing to do!"

An evil smile plastered on her face making her dashing face even more exquisite.

The guests could not look away from her because she was simply too breathtaking!

Even Jiang Lei could not really keep his eyes off. He had been dating Chen Mumu for many years but not once had he realized that she could be this enchanting!

Chen Mumu took something out of her bag and showed the crowd, "I have compiled some of the best photos from Chen Xu's childhood and I know her husband to be will definitely love them because I just love how much in love they are!
