Chapter CXXIX - Kingdom Quest
Marcus ate dinner with his family a few hours later and logged into the game. He checked his communication tab and saw a reply from Ercer:
"Meet me at the Lerwick Pub in Southern Sterling."
"What time?" Marcus replied. Surprisingly Ercer was online and responded immediately.
"Now."
"I'll be right there." Marcus sent before closing the chat and exiting his room. Tellasyus had already left for the Imperial Academy by the time Marcus logged on, so he immediately left his manor and the Noble's District.
He passed through the Commercial District, through the Residential District, entering the slums in the southernmost part of Sterling City. The Lerwick Pub was the heart of the slums and a blight upon the otherwise flawless record of the settlement.
Marcus thought about the next event that would take place, providing the victor to receive stewardship of the city. This would increase the revenue of the Guild, and The Phantoms were positioned to receive this boom.
