As he had not wholly entered into the boss's room yet, he took advantage of an old exploit where the monsters within the boss room would remain still, and here it was still remaining accurate.
As the massive conflagration floated through the air toward the horde of cave goblins, Marcus waited until it was within inches of the goblins, and right before impact, he quickly rushed into the room, springing the monsters to life for a brief second before a gigantic explosion ended the life of everything in the room.
Marcus smirked, happy his plan worked out. The experience rang inside his head over a hundred times, and unfortunately, he did not gain a single level through the first ten floors.
