Birthday Surprise and a lucrative side hustle opportunity..................

Today was a surprise for me in more than one way it seems as I totally ignored my alarm and slept till 9 am and was woken up by mother who came to check up on me. In any other day being the early riser I would have gone for run and would be doing some exercise by now and would be getting ready to go to work but today I just wanted to sleep. The reason for that is the sweet dream I had in which everything went back to normal and we were living like we used to and just like I said to bhabhi I was pursuing Deepti with all my might and she was also kind of falling for me and I was just about to propose to her but was woken up by my mom. 

After waking up I completed my morning routine and then sat in the living room where mom came with my coffee and asked me "Well daughter-in-law check if the sun has risen from the other direction because my well mannered and early riser son has slept in till late and is skipping his morning run and exercise today or we are still dreaming. And why do I think he looks more handsome and soo happy just after waking up?" From the kitchen bhabhi replies "Ma I think it the because today is a special day and the air also has something which could have affected our hero babu. As some people say love is in the air soo... It must be something like that."

Hearing both my mom and bhabhi talk like that make me choke on the coffee and I start to cough. It seems bhabhi had told mother about what happened when I met Deepti and mom also must have seen the painting in my room. So I turn away from both of them to hide my blush and say "Huh? Did you guys hear something? It is coming from my room. Looks like some birds may have sneaked in I would go and check." and I make a run for it. After entering my room I lay down and scream in my pillow because of the embarrassment but it looks like I didn't lock the door and there are bhabhi and mom acting like cleaning and dusting the area but clearing were looking and were trying to stop their laughter.

I spring up from my bed and tell them "Okay Okay stop being so dramatic and stop teasing me. Ask whatever you want to know and I will tell you something but you have to stop embarrassing me like that."

After that both of them spring into action ask me a lot of question about how I feel and when will they get to meet her officially and such. And I answer them as much as I can and tell them that I am not even seeing her at the moment and to wait for sometime. It seems my mother and bhabhi has searched the internet about Deepti and were telling me a lot of things her. They said that I had their blessing to pursue such beautiful girl and had to do everything to make her their daughter-in-law/sister-in-law. I reluctantly agreed and then drove them away saying I had some work to do and not to disturb me. They brought me some breakfast in my room and finally left me alone. I was watching the painting dry and thinking about her that suddenly realized that I wanted to sing a song too so I started finding the chords for song and decided to watch video and wanted to use advantage of my skill to copy and practice more. 

I was strumming my guitar and singing my song I also see my mom, brother and bhabhi along with niece in my door trying to sneak a peak inside and listening to my song and looking at that scene makes me burst out laughing and I tell them to come inside. My little niece jumps right in the bed beside me and tells me to keep singing and as ordered by the little princess I begin to sing again. To say my family was mesmerized, surprised and quite well bamboozled was putting it quietly. They all began to clap and bhabhi and eldest brother even blow some whistle and tells me to sing another song and I do. They all think that with all these I was sure to sweep Deepti off her feet but I doubt that. I like her but I don't think it would be enough and might think it is kind of cringe if I come off strong and fail later.

After that I help around home a little bit and my friends call me to start to get ready and they will come pick me up so I text them my address and start to get ready as I groom and take a bath and apply some skin care product and then dress and spray some perfume and get ready and then the bell rings and my friends also looking nicely dressed enters but their steps halts and falters as they see me nicely cleaned up and dressed. I tell them to sit while I run back to pack the painting and guitar they have already introduced and were talking with ma, bhaiya, bhabhi and niece. As I come out I hear them say that today all the girls are gonna be head over heels over me and I tell them to stop joking and we should move out. After that we all say bye to my family and then we move. We get to the party venue on time and it was one of the expensive and best club out in the city.

After confirming our identities we are given access to the club and we all start to get in. The party it seems is already in progress as we can see many celebrities and personalities from the industry all talking or enjoying themselves. We all see this and move to a table and some of my friends order alcoholic drinks while I refrain from it and they all seem to look at me weird and I explain that I have never drank a drop of alcohol and it could be trouble if I am caught drinking when I return home and they all accept that. As the party continues we all start enjoying well they are, while I was just sipping on some fruit juice. After sometime the music abruptly stops and somebody announces Deepti's entrance and here she comes in an all white dress just looking like an angel with a spotlight to show her slowly descend from a staircase. As she descend there are a lot of people who are wishing her birthday and she seem to be looking for someone in the crowd of people and her eyes light up when she notices our group and I think especially when she notices me. So she comes toward us along the nodding her head and accepting the well wishes from everyone and when she comes in front of me she just tilts her head and looks back at my painting which has been covered and guitar as like she is asking questions about what was the thing I was carrying and why?

So without wasting anymore time I wish her and give her the painting "Happy Birthday!!!! I didn't know what you liked or not so I thought of making something I think you would like. Its your birthday present." As she looks down at the covered painting and looks again at me I feel a little bit shy and embarrassed as everyone was now watching both of us. Deepti quickly tears off the cover of the painting and looks at the painting and exclaims. I hurriedly tell her "Well it was actually the first time I ever saw you and that during that moment you looked just like an angel so I thought to make it a rememberable moment and painted it for you. I named it the girl on fire for even though everywhere around you was burning you were glowing more brightly and beautifully than the flames. I hope you like it and hope it doesn't traumatize you."

Hearing my explanation Deepti gives a hearty laugh and says "Silly how could you traumatize me? You were the one who saved me from the fire remember? And I just wanted to say that this painting is worth more than any gift that I have ever received and it is so beautiful. So thats how I look in your eyes huh? What about the guitar? Were you planning on going somewhere after this?"

I reply "Well I thought that painting only would not be enough so I also prepared to sing a song for you."

She beams in happiness even more and then takes my hand and drags me after her than we cut the cake and she feeds me the first slice after which she takes a bite. After which she takes the mic from the announcer and tell us how I saved her and how she was grateful and how my gift was one of the precious gift she had ever received and now wants me to perform a song for her.

I nervously get on the stage and start to set up my guitar and tell the band what to do and they seem to understand it. After that I approach the mic and say "Hello everyone I am Krishna and this is actually my first time performing in front of a huge crowd so I here I am and now I am starting." As I start to sing the Artist perk activates and helps me even more.

After the song everybody cheers for me more and ask for another song and remembering one of my favorites I also turn to the band and tell them about it. They say that they can do it so we start again.

The crowd also goes nuts over my vocals which has been enhanced by my perk. After which we all enjoy the party and I meet several people who say they want me to sing for their next movie and all and some people say that they want me to create a portrait for them also. As all this is happening around I see a lot of women look at me seductively and Deepti getting jealous and angry and storms out of the place. I follow her and then catch up to her and then hold her hand, she tries to get away from my grip but I hold her tight. As she calms down I see some tears in her eyes and I am shocked. I slowly loosen my grip around her wrist thinking that I may have hurt her but she suddenly hugs me and starts to cry. I just stand there and somehow manage to hug her back she sniffles and hits me in my chest. I act like it hurts and she instantly starts to worry about me but after finding out that I was acting she starts to hit me multiple time in the same spot but I catch her hands and ask her "What happened Deepti? Everything was going so smoothly and good but suddenly you walk out of your own birthday party and then here you are crying? Is it because of my tight grip hurting your wrist? If so, then you can hit me way more but just stop crying. I just can't seem to see you crying and hurt like that." She looks at me angrily and says "You dummy I am not crying because of your grip, I am crying because you were having fun with the other women and I just didn't like it. Ahhhhh would you make me say it?"

I smirk and say " Ohh!! What do you want me to say then?"

She seems to fume even more before shouting "Dummy!!!!!!!!!!!!idiot!!!!!!!!!silly."

I smile and say "Okay Okay stop shouting I will say it okay." She nods and the I say "So you were jealous because I was looking at other women right?" She nods. I say "Okay then I am gonna ask you something which is pretty important for both of us. Would you like to go out me and be my girlfriend?" Hear beautiful face even seems more beautiful as blush appears and she nods her head. I act like I didn't see and say "Huh what did you say? No? or was it yes?"

She acts angry and it looks so cute and shouts "I said yes you dummy."

Then I hug her tightly as she also hugs me back. As we were already quite far from the club we decide to walk near a park where we both talk about each other. I tell her more about myself like everything that happened like papa's death, family situation and also get to know more about her. She is a single child of a single parent household. Her mom take care of everything for her till now. I also ask about other things and ask her when did she fall for me? And she says she fell for me when she saw me doing my work a few week ago. She wanted to know more about me and told her manager to find details and that the manager found out that I was a stunt double for the villain and was close friends with other stunt man. So she thought that the stunt men will attend the party organized by others and meet me there but I never even showed up, not even once. Then the incident at shoot was another time where she saw me and being so close to someone she fell for, she was shocked that's why she could move and was in that dangerous position. After hearing her tell about her side of story I also tell about my side of story about the buzz when ever she touched me and the unexplainable desire to be with her. After that we both spend some time in the park bench where her head is in my shoulder and we just talk and take in the view. 

Unbeknownst to us some paparazzi managed to click some pictures of both of us in the park and the party. After sitting there for sometime I call my friends to let them know we both were okay and tell them to take care of my guitar. I see that Deepti has fallen asleep in my shoulders and I wake her up but she says she wants to stay with me. Not knowing what to do I call home and tell them to keep the dinner ready for one more and I was coming home. I call one of my friend to come out of the club and give me his bike. He does bring me his bike and seeing both of us he grins like a loon and throws the keys towards me telling me to bring it during work 2 days later and I accept. With Deepti behind my back I get to my home and see my family waiting there. I feel shy and officially introduce them to Deepti. 

My mom and bhabhi pulls Deepti inside and starts to treat her like their own child. While I go and shower and come out fresh I see them gossiping and laughing. Seeing I was out of bathroom Deepti also tells us she wants to take a shower and freshen up and my sis-in-law sends her inside my room and gives her some of her own clothes. While Deepti is taking a shower my mom and sis-in-law start to tease me "Well this morning I was just joking and teasing you but you really brought her here and introduced us officially as you girl friend. I didn't know you were this fast, otherwise I would have already have teased you earlier."

Seeing them like that I laugh and they tell me that dinner wasn't ready as they were waiting for me to cook for them so I get to cook the food. After Deepti comes out of shower wearing sis-in-laws sari I become even more mesmerized by her beauty. It seems not only me even my mom and sis-in-law are affected. I clear my throat and tell them that food is near ready and start to get the dishes ready. That wakes them up from trance and they start to help by setting the table. Deepti tries to help but is shooed away by mom and bhabhi. They get near me and whisper to me "You must definitely marry this girl and bring her as a daughter-in-law/sis-in-law in this family otherwise you are not allowed to ever talk to us."

It seems that Deepti heard us and looks at me with a look of superiority as saying see I won over your family so easily. I also laugh at their behavior and then start to plate the food. We all sit at the dinning table and eat and they all exclaim how tasty the food was and Deepti even says that from now I have to bring her food myself or she won't eat anything and I try to reason with her but fail miserably and seeing her success both my mom and bhabhi laugh and tells me that if I was already cooking then I should also cook for them. I give in to their demand. After dinner we all are getting ready for sleeping when bhabhi and mom say that they miss Viraj also and hope how he was here with us and then I tell them to call him. They call him and he answers. We can all hear frustrations in his voice and are little bit worried about him but his voice suddenly gains a resolve and tells us not to worry and he was just busy and he will call later and had to work. Mom and bhabhi are little bit satisfied after hearing from him. It seem the story is going on as it was in the movie and was near the point before the dowry money gets stolen by the uncle of the bride. As Deepti decided to stay with us for the night I sent her to sleep in my room and take the couch in the living room as unwed man and women sleeping together is not encouraged in Indian society. We all tell each other good night go to sleep not knowing that a bomb was gonna go off tomorrow morning.
