19 Episode 17: CHIT CHAT

When Tiwari left, Gabby felt relieved that she don't have to pretend that she's living with a normal room mate anymore.

RED: Don't act like you're the only one uncomfortable. I'm adjusting just like you.

GABBY: Yeah. I know you're right and all. But...thank you though. For getting into this just to protect me.

RED: Don't mention it. It'll all be perfect once one of us gets your soul.

GABBY: What?

RED: What?

GABBY: Anyway, would you bring in your friends next time?

RED: I don't think I will. They're busy. And it has nothing to do with your safety.

GABBY: True. But still, Tiwari is a suspicious and convincing gal. I don't think you'll be saying that again next time.

RED: Yeah. Yeah.

GABBY: Oh, by the way, I really forgot to tell you this, but, do you eat cookies?

RED: What? Those round brown food with chocolates on 'em? Haven't tasted one but, I bet they're good.

GABBY: So reapers eat?

RED: We do. But we don't need to though.

GABBY: I don't eat too much sweet stuff so you can have these. New experience matters, am I right?

RED: Nah. You're left.

GABBY: Am I suppose to laugh at that?

RED: You should. Or else I'll leave.

GABBY: I don't think you will.

RED: *holds a cookie in hand* What makes you think I won't?

GABBY: You're a good entity. I'm sure of that.

RED: Why are you sure?

GABBY: *eyes glow* I know a good spirit when I see one.

Note: *only Spirits can see her eyes glow*

(Her dark green irises becomes light emerald when applying her ghost seeing abilities, it took years for her to master it)

RED: *smiles* That's flattering, coming from a human that makes movies depicting how bad we are.

GABBY: Not all humans hates you, you know. Sometimes we're fascinated by your mysterious nature.

RED: *bites the cookie* Oh yeah? Thanks for saying that but we're not mysterious. Harry is far from that. Your species just can't see us unless we want to be seen.

GABBY: Oh. The white haired Guy? I saw him one time at the office. Talking to you.

RED: Oh, seems like you saw the weird one.

GABBY: I don't think he's weird. If anything he looks kind of attractive. Like a character from a famous anime! And his golden eyes sure look tantalizing to me!

RED: Pssh, please. My eyes are rarer if anything.

GABBY: Your eyes are really pretty, I swear. But, still, golden eyes have a weird effect on me.

RED: *rolls eyes* Then he'd be your guardian tomorrow then.

GABBY: No! That's not what I meant! I'm sorry, I didn't mean it as an insult! Wait...wait...wait...

RED: What?

GABBY: Are you jealous?

RED: No. Why would I be? Anyways, as an entity I don't think I'll ever fall in love with a human. Especially you. True, that we have to protect you somehow because it is our kind's curse that had put your life in a difficult situation but despite that...nothing is that special about you.

GABBY: Excuse me?

RED: You have the eyes to see souls, yes. But really, you are just an average citizen of Tokyo. You don't have that much to show off to the human world. No extraordinary beauty, no extraordinary talent, no extraordinary voice. No. You're-

GABBY: Okay, I get it. Geez. I'm not worthy, I know.

RED: Look, I'm sorry too. I must have been carried away.

GABBY: Nah. It's fine. At least one man knows I'm worth it.

RED: Who is he? Your ex, that's still your friend?

GABBY: No, of course! That's so messed up!

RED: Are you still mad?

GABBY: *evidently mad* No.

RED: Okay.

GABBY: Damn it! Of course I am! You don't know the first thing about girls, don't you?!

RED: *speechless* *looks hurt*

GABBY: Look, I'm sorry...I didn't mean to.

RED: Funny, how we always apologize to each other after hurting. But...I do know the first thing about them.

GABBY: What?

RED: The soul that's in your body, is the same soul I saved years ago.

GABBY: ...

RED: A women's beauty, voice, and fragility...could woo in any man. It is truly most men's weakness. And the first time I saw her...she looked like an angel, despite her eyes showing fear and helplessness. I shouldn't have interfere. I should have ran. To save myself. But...the time she shouted help...I couldn't fight the urge to help her any longer. And when she ran, her eyes thanking mine...it made me the happiest man in the world. That is, until I realized I'll die soon.

GABBY: Damn. That's dark. What does she look like?

RED: Funny, because she looks like you. Her hair, only longer. But she tried to wrap it as quickly as she could with the cloth on her hands. She seemed panicky too.

GABBY: So you admit it! I am beautiful!

RED: I didn't say you're ugly! I just said that compared to those other mortals with tiaras on their head, you look nothing but a poodle. Anyways, you are beautiful, but not that lovely.

GABBY: Wow...thanks for hurting me more.

RED: Oh come on, atleast I'm honest. And I'm sure one day a guy will tell you that you look the most beautiful of all. Love stricken men will always tell the same thing.

GABBY: Oh! That makes me wonder! Can you see soulmates?

RED: Who the hell invented that crap?

GABBY: Hu...mans?

RED: No. It doesn't exist.

GABBY: Oh. So there's really no red strings on our pinky that tells us who our lovers could be?

RED: As I told you recently, yes. There is no soulmates. That's utter bullsh*t. Our actions leads to our fate. It is our choice of whom we wanted to fall in love with.

GABBY: Oh...I see. Welp, it's getting late I see. So, I'm going to bed.

RED: Fine. Go to your room and I'll be there on the couch as always. By the way, do you have a book anywhere here?

GABBY: Well, someone's bored. Here. *hands a book from a shelf*

RED: A manga? Seriously, you're into this sh*t?

GABBY: Why not? The plot's good! Okay bye!

RED: Wait!

GABBY: What now?

RED: *draws closer*

GABBY: Eh?

RED: I just want to say thank you.

GABBY: For what?

RED: For listening to me.

GABBY: I thought you have friends.

RED: I do but...well, I'm surprised you didn't think I'm rude.

GABBY: You're cool if anything. Bye now.

RED: Oh? Well...umm...bye...Gabby.
