Flashback- New Year's Eve

Myra's POV:

All is blue. No, a strange shade of purple mixed with sadness. From what I can make out, there's also a raging red in the surroundings. Ah, maybe these are the tranquil lights used to light up the environment and set the tone. 

My melancholy. 

The new year's bash looks relatively buoyant, with chirps and whistles from humans from all over the town. I'd come here with full plans of getting drunk out of my mind so that I don't have to deal with my emotions. But everywhere I see, I just see hopeful people, with dreams and plans in their eyes for their new year- next decade. Look at that! People are looking at their best- smiling, laughing, and dancing. I'm almost envious. Almost.
