Chapter 158: Demons, Part 1

He landed by Sibylla Lake, in the wide field between it and the edge of the forest that consumed the entire southeast edge of Krimkoryn, framing the mountains that formed a border between Krimkoryn and Taakar.

What time was it? The relentless rain made it impossible to tell. It must be early afternoon, though, unless he had spent far longer with the morbid serpents and then the Wolves than he surmised. Had the others left the castle yet? Were they still bogged down by the rain? What would they do when they arrived to find the morbid serpents already defeated? Anxiety gnawed at his stomach, mingling with a fluttering anticipation at the Legion seeing his success, that he could be of use to them after all.

But not if he didn't defeat the demons. Goddesses, this would be so much easier with the Legion to back him up… but the other Princes had killed demons on their own. He could do it, too. Hopefully.
