In a just blink of an eye, Kai Xin gained enough EXP to reach level 3. By this, he can enhance his character, or rather to say, himself since he was fighting for his life.
Huff... Huff... Huff...
He was catching up on his breathing as he was so fed up from the battle. The foul odor dissipated as the monsters popped like bubbles.
+2 to all stats, +6 free attributes, and +2 skill points this were he obtained after killing the 4 Skeleton Warriors. The rewards were quite good since they helped him to increase his status.
He removed the screen tabs in the front of him, then laid on a solid surface where the mild coated his body made him calm.
"I'm lucky, I managed to finish the fight before my stamina totally drained." He said in a weak tone while looking at the dark ceiling above him.
Seven days was the amount of time he had to complete his survival quest. So it occurred to him now and then if he would still be alive until then? Well, he wasn't going to die here as he had no idea what monsters were lurking in this unknown dungeon.
He also realized he was in the middle of a game. So the burning question was: how did he drown in such a chaotic environment? Aside from that, the settings on the screen, such as skills, attributes, and EXP, kept appearing to him, and Dungeon explained everything to him.
"Ahh!"
Suddenly, he was screaming in pain, couldn't help to drip off his saliva out of his mouth. It seemed like, he was continuing to feel this kind of pain every time he was forcing himself to remember something.
For some reason, if he was thinking about the information about the game, nothing bad happened to him.
It took several minutes until the pain subsided. "Fuck! Why I'm always experiencing this pain?! Even though I'm just trying to figure out who Am I!"
Yes, Kai was bothered by the situation since he could recall some of his childhood memories, but not enough to recall who was with him at the time. He only knew his parents' names, but the images of them in his head were too dim for him.
To be more specific, he was reminiscing about how much time he had spent playing RPG online and how much he enjoyed it. When he realized how much this game had become a part of his life and body.
Ding!
Those thoughts were easily faded away when he heard the unfamiliar tone inside his head. It followed up with the blue screen, indicating a new task, and he achieved.
[You've successfully cleared the first floor!]
[Quest has arrived!]
[Wield your sword 2000 times]
[Reward(s)]
• Mastery I
• Unlock new swordsman skill
• +15 stamina
• +2 free att
By just simply looking at it, Kai felt more exhausted than what he was feeling right now.
"What?! 2000 times?! What am I supposed to do?!!" he screamed, his voice echoing throughout the room.
Naturally, a layperson would be shocked after reading this task. After noticing that the rewards weren't too bad, he calmed down a little.
"If I take a look closer at it, I can see the rewards are really useful. It will let me have a new skill, but what kind of skill?" Even though he had an idea what were the swordman's skills would like, still, he wanted it to know more specifically.
First and foremost, the amount of stamina he had left was insufficient to complete the task, so it was far better if he regained some strength before continuing.
He said in a sleepy tone, "I'm too exhausted... I have to stay here in the meantime." He then went to a place where he could be a little more comfortable.
You can't tell he was bothered by this location. Why? Because no monsters would approach him after he cleared this floor, based on his experience playing the virtual game RPG Online.
However, the thing he doesn't know here was that the monsters in this world weren't respawning just like in the game. To be more precise, the monsters here increased their numbers by breeding. So the hybrid monsters could be seen.
Monsters in this world had different classifications as they were based on the current strength of a specific monster. First evolution, Second Evolution, Third Evolution, and the Mythical Evolution if you could describe the Mythical Evolution power it can easily destroy a city in just a click of its fingers.
As an example. The skeleton warriors Kai fought earlier had evolved to the first stage of evolution; this type of monster was good for beginners to level up against. This monster was also commonly found in low-level dungeons like this. Furthermore, the skeleton warrior's second evolution must be an undead skeleton with three times the health power, and occasionally it can be a skeleton mage who transforms into a Litch sooner or later. Or, to put it another way, the second evolution would be determined by the monsters' abilities in the first.

Plok!
Meanwhile, freezing small drops of water fell directly on Kai's face from the dungeon ceiling. As he was startled by the incident, he flinched just a little.
"What was that?" he wondered to himself as he wiped the cold temperature away from his cheek.
Ahhh!
He was about to throw up when he smelled the water's foul odor. The stench was much stronger than the rotten stench emanating from the skeleton warrior. On his nose, there was spicing that smelled like a dead rat.
He tried wiping the smell away with his robe, but it stuck to his cheek for some reason. As a result, he was forced to grab some soil from the surface in order to mask the odor.
"That's shit?" he exclaimed, his gaze falling on the ceiling, where he had a strong suspicion the disgusting drop originated.
Apart from the darkness that engulfed the entire area, Kai couldn't see anything. So at this point, he assumed the rotten odor emanating from the skeletons had simply evaporated and popped to his face.
He pushed himself up into a standing position after that because he felt much better than before. "That was a nice nap... I wish I could do it again."
Kai thought he was just taking a nap, but he was actually sleeping for almost three hours. You can't blame him, though, since the place was dark and it was difficult to tell how much time he spent there. Also, because the sun doesn't shine inside, he can't tell if it's day or night.
[Great you've replenished your stamina!]
He won't mind the screen that appeared in front of him as he was aware his stamina was back to its original state.
"I have to swing this rusty sword 2000 times in order to complete the quest and obtained the rewards. If I would have the mastery it can increase my ability with this sword, at the same time, the given skill would help me to increase the damage." He said in a serious tone, then grabbed the sword.
Swish!
He used his left arm to swing the sword in the air so he could start his quest right away. "Just like this?" He asked himself as he had no idea if he was doing the right thing.
[Quest: Swing your sword 2000 times.]
[Progress: 0% 0/2000]
Kai was blinking his eyes in confusion, wondering why the numbers on his screen doesn't decrease by 1. "Huh, what happened? I thought I can do this quest by just simply swinging this sword-"
He can't complete his sentence as the screen explained to him what was the mistakes he committed.
[To do complete the quest, the host should do the proper stance to swing the sword!]
To do the proper sword composure, Kai must stand straight up first. After that, he should swing his rusty sword with both hands while alternating stepping forward his every foot.
Kai was smoothly kneading his chin along with a malicious smile on his face. Back in the game, learning the mastery the gamer should skill book to instantly have it. But he was in real-life, Kai should do it manually to have the mastery.
"If that's the case, I'm the one who makes a mistake." He said in a deep tone, then stood up straightly.
As soon as he performed the sword stance, he swung the rusty sword in front of him while gathering the strength by stepping forward his left foot.
Swish!
A strong blow of wind took a place, its force was enough to push his black air and the brown robe he was wearing.
Yes, doing the proper stance could enhance his physical strength as he never imagined that he would have.
"What the hell? Where this such strength came from?"
