Chapter 53

I looked at her outstretched hand for a while, before reaching forward with my right hand and grabbing it. There were no downsides to this deal. If Ivy dies, I lose the power to control plants, nothing else. I wouldn't be killed or lose my soul. Free power, who will give this chance up?

We shook hands and I felt something flowing into my body from my hand and soon, I felt like I gained a new sense. I could feel the trees and could now control them. She let go of my hand and I reached toward a three, one of the roots coming out the ground and warping around my hand.

'Huh. Plant control gained. Fire and the others are next.' I thought, looking over to the woman.

"I would like to see how you will use this power I gave you. And do protect Isley." She said, her body twisting and slowly turning into a big tree.

I looked at the tree before shaking my hand, the roots warped around it loosening and falling off. Red lightning flashed around my body and I dashed through the forest, instantly appearing next to Ivy who was sleeping peacefully, the trees somehow guarding her. I was about to go wake her up but Carnage 2.0 appeared next to me in purple light.

"Mission accomplished. I made a deal with a Parliament of Tree to gain Chlorokinesis. All I have to do is answer one of its calls." He said, moving his hand, and a flower growing in the ground. "Just like the speed force, I can now enter it whenever."

"Huh." I said, looking at the flower. "Didn't know you can gain Chlorokinesis so easy. Though I gained the power over plants, I have to protect Ivy till she becomes the Avatar of The Green before it becomes mine permanently... Huh, why don't I kill Swamp Thing? Ivy will be forced to become the next Avatar and I won't have to protect her."

"Swamp Thing? He is a strong guy from the information I gained from Batman's computer. Being the Avatar of a God, he should be stronger than us or something." Carnage 2.0 said, going into deep thought. "Avatar of God huh... I wonder what power we will get if we eat him."

'I need to look through those files.' I thought, reaching forward. "Being able to run at mach 100, it will be easy. I will kill him before he can react."

I slowly brought my hand down, the spaces tearing and a green portal opening. Walking toward it, I looked toward Ivy, before shrugging and walking through, Carnage 2.0 walking after him. He decided to live Ivy there as she is safer in there than back on earth. All I has to do now is read all the files on the USB and find Swamp thing then kill him.

We appeared in a dark ally with homeless people looking at us with confused faces. "Thought it will lead us back to our house but guess not. Where is this?" I thought looking around the ally.

"Another way of transportation I guess. Speed force allows us to travel through time and dimensions while The Green allows us to anywhere on the earth." Carnage 2.0 said and with a purple flash, killed everyone in the all before getting down, ready to eat one.

"How can you eat these dirty humans. We should have class and chose our meal carefully. Like that girl right there." I said pointing at a girl running through the sidewalk, who passed their ally without looking in.

She was a beautiful teenage girl, around the age of 16, with light skin, a heart-shaped face, and curly long blond hair that reached her upper back. Her eyes were blue and had a slender figure. She wore a pink or T-shirt, black pants, black sneaker, a red headband to keep her hair back, a blue backpack, and held books close to her chest as she ran.

I looked at her pass by before looking over to Carnage 2.0 who also looked at me. "She's mine. I saw her first."

"How about we split her in half." He said, clamping his hand.

"That won't happen. Go and find your human to eat. She looks exceptionally tasty." I said, walking out the ally and following the girl.

I can just run up to her, grab her, and take her to Gotham before eating her, but I just decided to follow her. Due to my five senses being boosted by the Kree blood, I noticed that her smell was vastly different from other humans. Like she was an alien. I guess Carnage 2.0 noticed that too.

I plan to learn more about her and if she is an alien, take her home to experiment on her.
