Chapter 161

The Goblin Lord looked on at this Ogre, pointing at them, multiple thoughts going through his mind. 'How strong is a black Ogre? Stronger than a brown Ogre?' He thought, his mind working as he came up with the best plan. 'We have more members than him. We can win with numbers.'

He looked behind him where 170 members of his village stood. He then turned back to the lone Ogre, slamming his staff on the ground. "Never!" He shouted in the goblin language. "Us, the Goblin village of Torg, will stand and fight you!"

"I see." The Ogre said, folding his arm. "Fireball." He called, a fireball appearing beside him.

"One fireball? What could that do?" The Goblin Lord shouted in arrogance. "Attack!" He commanded.

Two goblins pointed palm at the Ogre, each shooting one Magic Arrow toward him. The third mage pointed his finger at him before casting the 1st tier spell [Sleep].

Impulse, who sent his fireball to intercept the two magic arrows, suddenly felt the need to sleep. Shaking his head, he pushed away from the need to sleep as he caught a club from an Ogre which aimed for his head.

"Gradation air." He mumbled a sword beside him, which he sent flying through the first Ogre's head. The sword disappeared as he kicked away the dead body. "Since you don't want to obey me..." He raised his hand, casting multiple fireballs above the goblins. Soon, fifty fireballs positioned themselves above everyone, causing them to fall on their knees. "Then die for me."

With that, he rained down all fifty fireballs on them, moving out of the way of the carnage. Screams and roars of pain and despair echoed as all the goblins or ogres either died on impact or died from burning. The fire quickly spread to the village, burning everyone hiding within.

[You have leveled up] x 7

From killing the village, he leveled up from level 8 to 15. The 14 random skill points he gained went to resistance, magic defense, and HP. 4 to resistance, bringing it to 33, 5 to magic defense, bringing it to 30, and 5 in health, bringing it to 36.

{You have reached level 2}

{0.5 growth in your physical power}

{You have gained 1,000 points}

The voice of the actual system echoed. 'I see. So I can also level up from killing monsters.' Impulse thought, looking at the scorched field before him, the smell of cooked meat flowing into his nose. 'I acted too rashly. I need to slow my movements, or I might be noticed by the devs and get deleted. Can't have that.' He looked up to the sky, hoping the devs hadn't yet noticed him, before going towards the dead goblins and ogres, eating all of them.

He only managed to eat one Ogre and two goblins before he noticed he was getting full and couldn't go on. "This would be a problem." He said in the goblin tongue. "I can't eat every monster I kill, only those that I know would give benefits." His eyes turned to the three goblin mages. "Them."

Going to their bodies, he ate two of them before having to force the last one into his stomach, letting out a large burp after.

[Ability "Magic Arrow" learned]

[Ability "Camouflage" learned]

The knowledge on how to cast magic arrows and camouflage entered into his mind, causing him to smile. Impulse stood, inspecting the land for anything he would take along with himself, only finding 70 Crystal, which would be useful for practicing and creating things using jewelry magcraft.

'How would I carry these?' He thought, looking around. All clothes he could have used to make a bag have been burned, only his large skirt remaining. He thought for a while before removing his skirt. 'I am a monster. Who cares if I am naked.' He used it to wrap the 70 Crystal, walking away with it.

As he walked through the forest, he activated his camouflage, his skin color changing to blend in with the environment. But the duration of the skill was extremely low, only lasting for thirty seconds. He continuously cast it as he moved through the forest, occasionally casting Magic Arrow to kill some rogue monsters. One snake even tried to bite his little member, but he quickly took care of it.

'Yeah, this is dangerous. But the 70 Crystal is more useful than my dick. I can regenerate it anytime, but I can't regenerate them.' Impulse thought, walking through two large trees and coming to an opening with a huge entrance to a cave many meters in front of him.

'Time to test out this upgraded Magic Sense.' Impulse thought, closing his eyes and mentally turning it on.

A wave of energy shot out of him, creating a dome around him. Within the dome, he could see anything without any blind spot, be it within a tree or underground. The only thing different about the old one is that he doesn't need to control it manually. Even if he sleeps, it would still be on, something that he couldn't do before.

He expanded the front of the dome, causing it to move through the opening and into the cave. There were multiple Ogres, which he didn't care for. As he kept inspecting the cave, he found something that brought a smile to his face.

Gems. Lots of Gems.

Maybe it was because this was a game, but within the cave walls were different kinds of gems. And the deeper you go, the more abundant they become.

'With this, I can make more Jewelry, and with more Jewelry, comes more magic practice.' Impulse thought, laughing. 'I could even create some useful mystic codes.'

Without time to waste, he dashed through the opening, stopping at the entrance of the cave. Wanting to practice his bow and arrow skill more, he used gradation air to create a bow, using a spear as the arrows.

'Wait. Should I kill them?' He thought to himself, aiming the spear at the head of an Ogre who hadn't noticed him. 'If I do... Well, the devs... Besides, monsters respawn, and this seems to be where they will be spawning from. Making stupid Ogres my slave shouldn't be a problem.' He let the bow and spear disappear as he walked into the cave.

Just like he thought, it was easy to get the Ogre to work under him. Just beating up some of the stronger Ogre made them respect him. He told them to start mining for the Gems while he leaned on a wall, opening his status screen, his game one.

'I wonder what a 10th tier spell would be like. I hope I find someone who can cast spells like that or somehow find an item that would teach me more magic.' Impulse thought, looking at the first tier next to the spell's name. 'Hmm. This level points. It always went toward my race before, but now, it's piling up. Is it because I gained a class?' Impulse thought, rubbing his chin. He decided to put all his level points into his race to see what skill he would get.

[Your race, Orge, has passed level 10. Skill "Ogre's Healing" has been learned] The skill description stated, "Heal Faster."

[Your race, Orge, has passed level 15. Skill "Environmental Adaptation" has been learned] The skill description stated, "You can survive and adapt to any environment or condition, being able to tolerate a wide range of temperatures and levels of moisture."

"Both skills aren't so bad. The healing skill would be good until my health gets low enough to unlock my Ultraspeed Regeneration, and environmental adaptation would allow me to go almost anywhere with little to no discomfort." Impulse thought, closing his status.

He dropped all 70 crystals on the ground, putting on his skirt, then sat on the floor. "Now, on the topic of mystic codes." He mumbled to himself in the goblin tongue. "Mystic code is a tool or weapon designed and meant to work in tandem with magecraft. Some amplify a mage's potential, while others are specialized and have a very specific function." He said, reviewing his knowledge of mystic code.

He picked up a gem that was the size of a tennis ball, holding it at eye level. "I created two artificial mystic eyes for C-4 in the past, so it shouldn't be too hard to create a specialized mystic code that would help me gather magic from this world. Maybe something that's specialized in multiple things." He looked deeper into the cave and saw the Orge's using their fist to dig through the cave wall to mine. "This place would probably collapse, but who cares. The gems are all I need..." He paused, an Idea surfacing in his mind. "Volumen Hydrargyrum! That's it. I could probably create something with a similar function as Volumen Hydrargyrum. It would come into use in multiple ways.

"But that's a supreme mystic code, and I am not sure I can create one without wasting thousands of gems. I should probably start with something small." He mumbled, dropping the crystal and folding his arm. "Since I am going to practice archery, I should create a bow that takes the user's mana, turning it into an arrow or invisible arrow. Or a bow that anything shot from it would always pierce the heart or head. Yeah. Starting small before reaching the level to create something Volumen Hydrargyrum. And who knows. I might mistakenly create something better than that."

Stretching, he picked up a bigger crystal. "Now, let's begin."
