Mercy Graves walked down the hall towards Lex Luthor's office, wearing a white suit while looking at a white tablet. After the little accident with Lex almost killing her, he saved her by injecting her with some of his blood, which gave her superhuman physical abilities, superhuman regenerations and turned her eye hollow black. This caused her to start wearing blue contents.
Stopping in front of the huge gold and red double door, she reached to push the door opened but stopped. Normally, before she even reaches the door, Lex Luthor would give her permission to enter, giving her the habit of automatically enter the office whenever she reaches the door. But this time, it was quiet. Too quiet.
Her nose twitched as the stench of blood invaded it. She slowly pushed open the door, peeking inside. She stopped in her tracks, trying not to retch at the sight. The entire office was covered in blood and organs, with a heart just by her feet that was still beating. As if multiple people were killed in the office, there were more than 20 bloody limbs. The glass wall across the office was painted red with blood, not a single spot clean. And standing in the middle of the office was a beautiful little girl, smiling sweetly at her while holding the head of Lex Luthor.
"Don't worry. I won't hurt you. Daddy isn't mad at you." She said with the sweetest voice that would make anyone believe she is an innocent girl. If she wasn't covered in blood, that's is.
Without thinking, Mercy immediately dropped her tablet, lunching at the girl. But after taking one step, the bones in her legs shatter like glass, causing her to screech in pain as she fell to the blood-stained floor.
Ignoring the pain, she looked up at the little girl, who still had a sweet smile on her face. "Don't worry. I won't hurt you. Daddy isn't mad at you." She repeated, causing a chill to run down Mercy's spine.
"Who are you?" Mercy shouted, multiple thoughts running through her mind on who this girl must be. How could she beat, no, torture Lex Luthor to this state? After his evolution, Lex could hold his own against the likes of Wonder Woman without any technology. How could he be defeated by this... thing? And why isn't he regenerating?
"Umm..." She tilted her head, tapping her jaw.
While she was distracted, Mercy quickly brought out a gun, shooting the girl. The bullet went through her head, shattering the glass wall behind her. The girl kept thinking as if nothing happened, the injuries healing faster than she could see.
"I don't remember." The little girl said with a shrug, looking back at Lex.
Suddenly, the head of Lex Luthor started regenerating a body, and with it came a scream of anguish. "Please, Carnage, what do you want?" He shouted, looking at the girl.
A man in a black suit and gloves holding a teddy bear suddenly appeared floating behind the girl. "So you finally connected the dot after 30 minutes." Impulse said, a frown on his face. "I am disappointed. I thought the man I chose to be my second partner would be smarter."
The little girl dropped Lex Luthor, her body and clothes mysteriously getting cleaned from all the blood and gore. She then turned to Impulse, raising her hand as if asking to be picked up. He picked her up then handed her the teddy bear he was holding.
"How-"
"How am I still alive?" Impulse cut in, looking down at Luthor, who was kneeling by his feet. "Please, don't ask such a stupid question. You knew I was alive. You told the Justice League I was alive, and you tried to use C-1 to find me.
Luthor coughed out a mouth full of blood on the ground before looking up at Impulse. "Please-"
"Please don't kill you? It is funny how things are playing out. Remind me of a certain someone." Impulse said with a chuckle. "Don't worry. I still have use of you." Impulse said, touching Luthor's head, connecting himself to Luthor.
He quickly scanned his head before changing some things, putting himself in the highest position in Luthor's mind. Because of this, betrayal is now out of the question. Now he would rather kill himself before thinking of betraying Impulse.
He then looked at Mercy, who watched all this, a green aura appearing around her head before squeezing it to paste. Impulse then disappeared with a green streak just as Supergirl broke through the window. She looked around the office with a gag before stopping at the naked Luthor kneeling before the headless body of Mercy, his body covered in blood.
She floated before him, not daring to step on the bloody floor. "Lex?" She softly called, still inspecting the room. "I saw blood on your window while flying by and came to check it out. Is everything alright?"
"Obviously not or else you wouldn't be seeing blood everywhere you look, Supergirl." Lex Luthor asked, standing up and facing her.
"Cover yourself!" Supergirl shouted, shielding her eyes.
Lex looked down at his naked body before casually walking to his desk. "Don't act innocent Supergirl. With your x-ray vision, who knows what you might be looking at." He said, popping his laptop and tapping multiple things on it. An invisible barrier suddenly surrounded the entire LexCorp skyscraper.
Supergirl blushed at this remark before asking. "What happened here?"
"Mercy led assassins to kill me. Just gave them a taste of my power." Luthor lied as he continued typing away on his laptop.
Supergirl looked at Luthor, squinting. "You... did this?" She couldn't believe it. Luthor is known for his brain, not his brawn. And even if he wants to fight, he must have on his War suit.
"It shouldn't be a surprise. I am a Kree." Luthor said, looking up at Supergirl. "Off you go. You are not needed here."
Supergirl stared at Luthor, still doubting he did all this. She looked around to room one more time before shrugging. "Suit yourself, Luthor." Sue said, shooting past him but slamming into the invisible barrier. Rubbing her forehead, she looked back at Lex. "Turn down your barrier." She said.
"You will have to pay for my glass wall." Luthor said, pressing one bottom, the barrier parting way for Supergirl to pass through.
"In your dreams." Supergirl shouted, flying away.
As she flew away, Impulse appeared by the broken glass wall still carrying C-3, watching Supergirl fly away. "It still confuses me how this parallel timeline work. Niles Supergirl is 30, yet this one is only 20."
"I guess it is the future of our timeline Niles belongs to." Luthor said, watching Supergirl fly away.
Impulse nodded, understanding Luthor's point. But it still confused him. Ignoring it, he said, "I hope Sentry is working well in gaining Raven's trust."
