Pakistan is located in the northern hemisphere. With this statement, we have removed the continents of South America, Australia, Antarctica and Oceania. It is found on the Asian continent. So we have to search it only on the Asian continent. See the world map below. The white section represents the Asian continent. The area is blown up and gives way to Asia and other countries in it. The section given on the scene shows a place called Sonth Asia. The southern part of the region is named Indian Subcontinent.The Indian Sub-continent includes many countries. These are: Bharat (formerly known as India), Sri Larka (formerly known as Ceylon), Myanmar (formerly known as Burma), Bangladesh (formerly East Pakistan), Nepal, Bhutan, and Pakistan. Pakistan lies to the north and west of the Indian Subcontinent (or Indo-Pak Sub-continent). We can therefore describe Pakistan as lying within South Asia in the northwestern part of the Indian subcontinent. Pakistan is the second largest country in the region, It is, as you know, divided into our provinces. The names of the provinces and their capitals are: it is called Azad Kashmir, with its capital Muzaffarabad.x In addition to the provinces and Kashmir, there is the Gilgit Agency and the North Pole in northern Pakistan. There are seven ethnic areas between Pakistan and Afghanistan. Nanga Parbat is the second highest peak in Pakistan at 8126 meters. The Karakoram Mountains and the Hindu Kush Mountains live in the north of the country. The elevation of these mountains is between 3,000 to 3,600 feet [3,800 m] above sea level. Pakistan has the highest mountains in the world with more than 121 peaks. It also has the longest glacier outside the Arctic region. There are many valleys in Pakistan. These valleys are the Neelam Valley in Azad Kashmir, Swat, Chitral, Kaghan and Hunza Valleys. Many ancient and historic buildings reflect the rich cultural heritage and glorious past of Pakistan. Large mosques such as the Faisal mosque and the Badshahi Mosque exemplify Pakistan's rich Islamic culture. Pakistan is a heaven for tourists. The unusual natural beauty of the northern regions and other regions makes it a unique place and attracts many visitors from all over the world. It can truly be considered the Land of Innocent People with ten beautiful and exciting places to visit.
