"We are not alone here. Grab your sword, mother, and please hide behind me." Said the emperor while he was intensely focusing on the direction from where he could hear quick steps coming toward them which means someone is running to where they are standing right now.

He felt confused because the scent of that person was familiar and also that person smelled like they are scared and nervous.

"What's going on?" His mother whispered as she stood next to him with her sword in her hand ready to fight and kill whatever and whoever is trying to attack them, but Octavius did not answer instead he walked forward to stand behind the tree and still concentrating on the sound of the steps and pants that were coming out of that person's mouth as well as their fast heartbeats.

Octavius did not hesitate to grab that person from behind and put his sword right in front of their neck which caused it to cut some of their skin because they were running.
