The Cursed Forest - Where We Go When There's Nothing Left

In an alternate Earth, children started being born with strange powers and abilities. The governments of the world tried to hide these people until they could find an explanation for these occurrences; but as the birthrate of these people continued to grow, and the world itself began to change, it became harder and harder to hide their existence. Eventually, the world learned of the truth and they were formally called 'enhanced' humans. However, people are afraid of the unknown, so these enhanced humans were ostracized, discriminated, hated, and feared. And as if that wasn't enough, by the laws of the universe, all things come at a price. Those who wield fire were not immune to its power, constantly bearing burns and blisters. Those who could read minds could never stop, unable to differentiate between their thoughts and others, most with this power are driven to insanity. However, other people received minor powers with minor "catches", leading to a classification system of their "catches". In an ever changing world filled with no love for their kind, people with different levels of powers and different "catches", experienced many different things. ________________________________________________ Classifications from best to worst: Blessed (extremely helpful) Enhanced + (helpful) Enhanced (normal) Enhanced - (harmful) Cursed (extremely harmful). This novel follows these people through parts of their lives, periodically switching stories after one is finished, only to later show how those stories are interconnected, at which point it will follow a single story-line for the remainder of the novel. I would like to hear feedback on any and all aspects of story as well as any ideas for powers and their "catches", better names for terminology, or just general questions.

Monster Killers: The Kingdom of Hilleongord

Synopsis In the land of Hilleongord lived monsters and fighters. Learning to fight and kill monsters was a must in surviving. And if you won't accept your responsibility, you will not only endanger yourself but you won't be reincarnated also. And you will be considered a coward and an embarrassment to the land. There are four groups of Monster Killers: the black mamba, the red phoenix, the blue creepers and the green pixies. The black mamba was considered the strongest and the most scary group of all.. they were not only good at fighting and killing monsters but they were born with it along with their pure rage and thirst for killing monsters. One of their strength is their coordination and cooperation as a group. They are admired for their presence and strong aura. The second group is the red phoenix, like the 1st group they are also born killers and successful, but unlike the black mamba they are a little bit kinder, they prefer peace and thinks about what's good for the group. One of their strength is looking out for each other but sometimes it is also their weakness. The third group is the blue creepers, they are considered good at hiding and not being seen by the monsters, but unlike the 1st and 2nd group their fighting skills are a little bit weaker. One of their strength is their hiding ability and their weakness is the lack of group coordination and cooperation, since most of their training is about hiding and surviving alone. The last group is the green pixies. They are considered the healers, peace keepers, support, and the suppliers for the three groups and also the citizens of Hilleongord.
