"All I ever wanted was to be with you and have a family together, to live with you forever like in those stories, sigh I guess it was never meant to be"

Looking up at the woman standing over him as his vision became blurry, Ephon could only sigh. He was an orphan, abandoned since a baby, and as long as he can remember he had been longing for a family, that was his biggest dream.

As he grew older he realized that in this miserable and unstable world, he would need money and status to protect his future family.

"It's your fault Ephon, I told you that I don't wanna have kids, and you decided to leave me, you never loved me, but I love you that's why no one else is gonna have you, and don't worry about the money I'm gonna put it to good use"

"You crazy woman, I'm glad we didn't have kids, you decided to poison me just because I wanted to break up with you.

I told from the first time I met you that I wanted to make a family with you and you agreed. But now you changed your mind when I proposed to you, obviously you don't wanna be with me so I decided to leave and I even gave you five hundred thousand dollars, you you.." 

"Shut up, you sold your shipwrights business to move to the mountains for your so call family, why can't we enjoy our lifes here in the city. Oh and by the way, the government wanted the land you bought in the mountains so when you die, I'm gonna sell it, so sleep well Ephon maybe you'll get your so call family in the afterlife hahaha"

Seeing the woman he thought was the love of his life walking away laughing as he closed his eyes, Ephon actually realized that he wasn't as angry as he thought, but he still had a bit of regret.

"I'm sorry" was all he could mutter before he finally closed his eyes.

In utter darkness that seem to be endless, Ephon stood with his eyes wide open, he had come to realize his situation the moment he came to this place.

During his time at and after work, he would read novels about characters reincarnating into another world and meeting Rob, as they called it. So he has been waiting on Rob to appear before him, but so far, nothing.

"A little impatient are we?" a voice rang out seemingly from all directions.

But, Instead of panicking, Ephon calmly looked around until he realized that he couldn't see whom and where specifically the voice was coming from.

"I am the void, where there is void there is me, anyways I am not who you think I am, but I do have the authority to reincarnate you like those entities in the stories you Earthlings read, and that is what I am here to do"

"Okay, Void right? Can I go to a peaceful world and can you make me rich, and…"

"Stop, aren't you curious as to why I'm doing this for you?"

"Nope, as long as I don't become a slave and have my own freewill, I'm fine with having a second chance at life"

"You are a very interesting human, okay, let's get back on track, the world that you will be reincarnated to is One Piece"

"What!? No way Void, I don't want to live with those blood hungry monsters, give me another one"

"Hahaha, I know your whole story Ephon, you served in the army after you finished school, although only for five years, you have taken the life of many humans until you got your foot injury, and decided to start a shipbuilding business" 

"Well if you know my life then you would know that I wish for a stable life with a happy family more than anything else, that's why I even… never mind that, so do I have any perks at least to raise my chances of surviving"

"Well of course you do, you should know about the character Hashirama Senju from the Naruto anime right?"

"Yes, but I guess you probably already knew that."

"Well you will have his Sage Body and some of his wood style abilities as your perks, and before you get excited let me explain, the Sage Body basically gives you top physical strength and regenerative power, you simply need to train and you'll likely have the strongest physique in the One piece world."

"Wow!.. But wait? so how does this work in the One Piece World?"

"All of this is fueled by your physical energy and not chakra, there's no such thing as chakra in One piece. Lucky for you, the Sage Body will provide you with huge amounts of stamina and physically energy so you only need to worry about getting stronger"

"I.. I don't know what to say, I will definitely be able to protect myself with this, thank yo.. wait you haven't told me about my wood release!"

"Yes that, how do I put it for you to understand... You will be able to create and manipulate Trees/Wood like a logia devil fruit user, but you will only be able to use three of Hashirama's wood style abilities in One Piece, so you'll basically have to create your own moves, or recreate some of Hashirama's, it wouldn't be that hard, in fact your wood style will be much stronger than Hashirama, just not as weird as his."

"Okay that kind of makes sense, so tell what are the three abilities?" 

"Wood Release: Advent of a World of Flowering Trees, Wood Release: Wood Dragon Technique and, Sage Art Wood Release: True Several Thousand Hands"

"Not bad, not bad at all, can I ask why these three? Even though I kind of know why I still wanna make sure"

"You guessed it right, it's because of their weirdness, like 'Wood Release: Advent of a World of Flowering Trees; in the One Piece world where there is no chakra, the pollen it releases will instead suck away at the physical strength of those that inhale it until they pass out.

And 'Wood Release: Wood Dragon Technique' will be able to absorb and transfer the physical strength of those that it touches" Void explained.

"And…"

"And what?"

"The last one, 'Sage Art Wood Release: True Several Thousand Hands, these abilities might save my life so I wanna know" Ephon said impatiently. 

"As for Sage Art Wood Release: True Several Thousand Hands, you'll only be able to use this when and if you have Marine Admiral level strength, you'll figure its uses out by yourself when that time comes" Void said in a playful voice 

"Alright let me get back on track, so I will be sending you to the One Piece World, location, 'The Calm Belts', year 1400, background; orphaned baby, nothing too special, you will retain your appearance with some slight adjustments, the island you will be born on is called Yarilo, and the forest their is alive so it will provide for you your basic needs until you're two years old"

"1400! Give me a break, I think you're doing this on purpose! Just send me to hell if that's what you want to do!"

"No, no, this is actually because of… ahh, but where's the fun in that, you'll find out eventually.. I think haha"

"Okay, so for your last perk, you'll have the lifespan of a Giant and so will your descendants, although a little weakened, and the woman that births your child will also obtain the regenerative ability of your Sage Body and your long lifespan, but that's it, and by the way, this has something to do with your reincarnation, I can tell you why, but you'll lose this specific perk, so do you wanna know why?"

Hearing the playful voice of Void, Ephon, who was about to say something, closed his mouth but the curiosity on his face didn't diminish. 

"Alright, good luck, maybe you'll fulfill your dream in your new life" Seeing that Ephon was silent, Void knew Ephon had made his choice. 

"Thank you Void" was all Ephon could say before he seemingly disintegrated.
