The sound of a flowing river could be heard, water smashing into the rocks. Both side of the river was covered with trees, on the bank of the river stood a boy, eyes closed. The boy appeared to be 13-14 years old, long brown hair, about 165cm in height and a well trained body; and a katana hanging to left-hand side of his waist.

"Shuuu…" the boy took a deep breath in and charged towards the trees infront of him; as reached close enough took a leap as he took out the katana with his right hand.

"Water breathing, First Form

Water Surface Slash"

As he muttered the name of the move quietly, he made a horizontal arc while cutting down the trees in smooth manner.

"Second Form, Water Wheel"

The trees were about to fall as he again leaped into the air and slashed vertically while he flipped towards the front making a complete circle as the trees were divided into small pieces.

"Third Form, Flowing Dance"

He landed on the ground and immediately executed series of footwork while slashing beautifully and cutting the tree parts into smaller pieces.

The most deadly and beautiful thing was; from the first slash to the last happened in between the moment of the trees falling down.

"Huu… at last I was able to execute this smoothly, it really took me long to improvise this sword technique. System, show Status"

"These 5 years has been really fruitful" Rudeus said to himself as he started to stack the tree parts together.

Yes, the boy was Rudeus; it has been 5 years since he came to the island and became a trainee at The Isshin Dojo under the guidance of Koushirou-san.

Rudeus stacked up the woods and tied it with a rope, he was about to carry it when he saw a bird about 1.5m came flying towards his direction, just by a look he knew who it was, so he kept the woods aside and said as the bird landed;

"Pidgeot, did any pirates appeared near the island"

'One pirate ship to the north-west' for anyone in surrounding it was just a bird's screech but Rudeus could understand everything with his mental link.

"Lead the way" Rudeus said as he took out a dress, more like a battle suit of Assassin's Creed from his private space.

He was about to go when he felt someone approaching him; this time it was a human. A boy walked slowly towards his direction, Rudeus knew who he was but it didn't matter how many times he look at the boy he didn't match what Rudeus knew about him.

"Pirates right, your bird spotted pirates again. Let's go, it will help me train too." said the boy with a unique green hair and 3 swords hanging to his waist.

Roronoa Zoro, strongest man among Straw Hat Pirates if we exclude Luffy, what shocks Rudeus the most was Zoro as an adult and Zoro as a teenage boy were totally different; where adult Zoro was sleeping and training, teenage Zoro was very impulsive and restless, the only thing that was undoubtedly similar were his green hair, dedication and hard-work.

Rudeus and Zoro became good friends after few initial meetings due to both having the same work ethic.

"You sure find your way when it is time for battle" Rudeus said mockingly.

"It was good if you could use swords as good as your mouth" Zoro said with a smirk. It didn't matter how hard Rudeus fought with Zoro but he was not able to defeat him in swordsmanship even once; Zoro surpassed him in all aspects, strength, agility, techniques and experience.

"Yeah, now follow me so you don't get lost." Rudeus said with an annoyed tone. Both Zoro and Rudeus liked to pull each other leg; Rudeus was really grateful to Zoro as he helped him train and improve every day.

Both of them started to follow Pidgeot, they were quickly out of the forest and started to run towards the north-west shore of the island.

Pirates were pretty common these days, almost every week there was a new pirate out in the sea. Rudeus took advantage of this and started to aim at the weaker pirates to train and gain money initially, which created a myth among the pirates, that new pirates are not allowed to pass through Shimotsuki Village as no new pirates survives the journey.

Due to this the village was even more peaceful than before and when his friend Zoro came to know about it, Zoro demanded to take him along the pirate extermination missions to train.

Another reason for Rudeus to hunt pirates was because of System Missions, after his System Mission Interface was completely unlocked, he saw that the missions were divided into categories; Primary Missions, Secondary Mission and Tertiary Missions. Primary Missions were compulsory missions which cannot be avoided, they were very rare till now the only Primary Mission he did was the mission before coming to the island.

Secondary Missions were neither common nor rare; they mostly include finding new island, treasure and defeating very strong pirates.

Tertiary Missions were bulk mission such as; defeat 10 pirates, heal 20 people or some random quest, the rewards varied with the danger and difficulty levels.

Rudeus and Zoro finally reached the north-west shore. Zoro looked at Rudeus as if he was waiting for something.

(Summon: Lapras)

Suddenly the water near them shook and a blue colour creature with a large white uneven shell on the back and a long neck appeared infront of them.

"Hi Lapras, get ready for the chase" Rudeus sat on the back of Lapras as he said that. Zoro too said hi to Lapras as he was familiar with him.

Lapras screech loudly as he started to follow Pidgeot.

Rudeus gained a few more summons by doing missions and the lucky draw that happens every 6 months. As his MP increased now it was easy for him to summon even three beasts at a time which made things very convenient for him.

"It sure is convenient for you to travel, no matter how many times I see your summoned beasts it never fails to fascinate me." Zoro said with amazed look.

"Hehe, I know how great they are" Rudeus replied as he patted Lapras neck.

After a few minutes a pirate ship came into vision, Rudeus looked towards Zoro and asked "Want to take them by surprise or a warning would be good"

"You know well, these pirates don't stand a chance. Taking by a surprise would be an overkill; just give them a warning" Zoro replied in a relax manner.

"Sure" Rudeus already knew Zoro's reply, he was just asking for formality.

Rudeus took out a bow and two arrows from his private space; it was no surprising matter for Zoro as he has seen him doing it hundreds of times. Rudeus aimed towards the ship and shot the arrows one after another.

The first arrow hit the sail pole and second arrow hit the base of the bow of ship.

Boom! Boom!

Two loud explosions shook the ship as the first explosion of arrow took down the sail pole and the second explosion destroyed the bow of the ship. Pirates were running around as chaos erupted among them.

Rudeus looked at the situation and smiled; during these years he developed his weapons too with his knowledge, as he was watching his explosion work; Lapras reached close enough of the ship for his second set of action. He commanded, "Lapras, Ice Beam"

A path was created with ice to the ship, he and Zoro landed on it as Lapras dived into the sea. Zoro and Rudeus started to rush towards the ship.

"Two people are running on water" one pirate shouted and alerted the others. The other pirates were shock to see someone running in water in between of sea, 'Where did these two come from?' that was the thought in every pirates mind.

"All men prepare to attack" their Captain snapped out of the thoughts and commanded.

Rudeus looking at pirates, who were preparing to attack threw a smoke bomb, as the smoke bomb exploded the whole deck was filled with black smoke cutting out visibility of the pirates. Zoro looked at him with an annoyed expression as if he was asking, 'Was that even necessary'. Rudeus just looked away and leaped into the air towards the ship with great force; he grabbed the katana with his right hand preparing to slash it horizontally;

"First Form, Water Surface Slash"

Rudeus landed on the ship bridge and slashed through all the people near the bridge.

Zoro not wanting to fall behind took out all three swords; holding them in the iconic Three Swords Style jumped towards the ship, he landed on the deck and took down atleast 8-9 men in one go.
