Omniscience in Marvel 58

Title - Banquet in Heaven 3

The atmosphere in the hall grew increasingly charged, a palpable tension mingling with the Presences exuding divine energies. Leucadius could sense the mix of skepticism and cautious optimism among the deities…most, not all.

He knew this was just the beginning of a long and arduous journey towards control of the Council of Godheads. From his understanding he knew that in times like these, those that stand out are the ones that remain in a seat or power in time to come.

Those however, who decide on a wait and see approach, remain in the background. It was better when it came to Humanity since humans are short lived, but as Gods, it was an Eternal situation

So except one of the Cautious Gods happen to suddenly get overpowered, they would remain in their places as background characters. Leucadius was aware of this and made sure to call up all the God-Kings in attendance.

This way, he wouldn't come across as snobbish towards a certain pantheon while favoring the other.

Leucadius raised his hands once more, calling for attention. "With the support of those who have agreed, we will move forward. For those still uncertain, I urge you to observe and consider the benefits of our collaboration."

"I assure you, this is not about dominance but about ensuring stability and prosperity for all realms in conjunction with the human world." Leucadius said as he scanned the Kings who still hadn't made their decision.

Amaterasu spoke softly but with conviction. "This council must also ensure fairness and justice. Each of us holds immense power, and with that power comes a responsibility."

Leucadius nodded. "Indeed. Our influence here would serve to uplift humanity, not subjugate it, that much I assure you. Of course, disasters and opportunities go hand in hand, so Wisdom is also something we should embody."

A certain blonde haired attendee amongst the group of Gods not called up squinted his eyes at Leucadius before snorting in disdain. 'As expected. So much love for a bunch of pets.'

Leucadius felt the wave of emotional energy directed at him and looked at the origin only to internally smile wryly. 'Oh Luci…'

Murmurs of agreement spread through the assembly as Leucadius said the last bit. It was clear that the god-kings understood the necessity of the traits mentioned by Leucadius, however some held a bit of dissatisfaction.

Similar to Lucifer, they saw humanity as nothing but ants that they could use to their pleasures, but being as weak and insignificant as they were, they couldn't really bring that up.

They could only hope that their God-Kings would, unfortunately…

Leucadius continued, "To formalize this council, I propose we meet regularly to discuss matters of importance, share specific Knowledge and intelligence, and coordinate our efforts. This will ensure that we remain united and effective."

At that point, Odin, his voice carrying the weight of wisdom, said, "Regular meetings are a wise idea. We should remain connected and informed, lest we fall into old habits of isolation and unnecessary rivalry." He said and shot a glance at Zeus and a few other God-Kings who had gotten to their current position through killing of either their fathers, siblings or comrades.

Of course, those Gods didn't even bat an eye to this and kept their attention on the matter.

"Then all in favor..?" Leucadius asked and raised his hand up as a signal to those who were in acceptance of the founding of the council, however…

"I do not like the rule being made in favor of Humanity." Dagda, the muscular God of the soon to be Celts asked. Leucadius glanced at him and couldn't help but think of how demonic he looked.

Not mentioning the tattoos, just their general appearance alone sufficed to categorize them as demons.

"Then it is up to you how you deal with the Humans in your territory. Any matter brought to this council however, will be met with strict retaliation." Leucadius replied.

"And by retaliation, you mean?"

Leucadius shrugged. "I have no idea. I only know that such matters will only be brought up when it concerns humanity in general. However, do know this…" Leucadius paused as his aura immediately thickened and spread throughout the entire hall. "Any harm brought to any human or a group of humans subservient to me will be met with a swift and destructive might."

"Is that a threat to me or the entire Council?" Dagda asked as his aura poured out to counter Leucadius', however as soon as Leucadius finished speaking, he withdrew it, his previous smile returning as though he hadn't just threatened the entire assembly of Gods.

"I would never threaten the very council I am trying to create…Let me see…Hmm. Yeah, Warning. That's what it is. A Warning. Of course, as Gods, you can do with it as you wish." Leucadius replied

Leucadius then turned to the silent ones, addressing their concerns indirectly. "For those who choose to remain observers for now, know that this council is open to all deities. Your participation, whether active or passive, is valuable. We will always welcome your insights and contributions."

The hall fell silent, the tension thick due as the gods processed Leucadius' warning that was accompanied by his divine aura. Despite the gravity of his words, there was an undercurrent of respect for his candor. Dagda, though, seemed to accept the clarification with a begrudging nod.

"Very well," Dagda said, his voice gruff but controlled. "We will heed your warning, Leucadius. But remember, respect goes both ways."

Leucadius inclined his head slightly. "Of course, Dagda. Respect is the foundation of this council, and it will be maintained."

Zeus, who had been observing the exchange keenly, rose to speak. "If we are to move forward, we must put aside our personal grievances and focus on the larger picture. Humanity, for better or worse, is intertwined with our existence. Their growth and stability will, in turn, reflect on our realms."

Odin, the All-Father, nodded in agreement. "Zeus speaks wisely. Our fates are linked. A stable and prosperous human world will ensure the continuity of our domains. We must guide them wisely, not oppressively."

Amaterasu added, "And let us not forget that humanity's reverence strengthens us. Their belief and worship fuel our divine essence. It is in our interest to nurture, not to dominate."

"From past experiences, Humanity do like to be dominated though." Anansi said with a chuckle which caused all the Gods to look at him. "What? It's true. Just because you don't wanna say doesn't hide the fact that it is what it is."

Leucadius gave a small smile at Anansi's candor. All the God-Kings seated on the podium had a form of Divinity of Wisdom. Of course Wisdom could be used however it's wielder pleased so there wasn't much of a debate towards what he said.

The murmurs among the assembly grew more positive, the gods considering the wisdom in these words. Leucadius, sensing the shift in the room, seized the moment.

"With these considerations in mind, let us formalize our first decree. We shall establish a Council of Godheads, meeting regularly to discuss matters of importance, share knowledge, and coordinate our efforts. Each God-King will retain sovereignty over their designated territories, but any actions affecting humanity as a whole will be subject to council deliberation and consensus."

There was a collective murmur of agreement, the god-kings nodding in approval. Even those who were initially hesitant seemed more willing to engage with this cooperative framework.

Lucifer, who had been silent thus far, finally spoke, his voice smooth and filled with a subtle undertone of challenge. "And what of those who remain neutral or oppose this council's decisions? What measures will be taken against them?"

Leucadius met Lucifer's gaze steadily. "Neutrality will be respected, but opposition that threatens the stability of our realms or the well-being of humanity in general will be addressed with the combined strength of this council. We are not here to impose tyranny, but to ensure balance and a bit of harmony."

Lucifer smirked slightly but did not press further, seeming content with the response for now. He knew that Leucadius didn't speak to him as a father but as a King.

And from Leucadius' answer, he was already content. It just means that he had free reign to do whatever he wanted in the territory of any pantheon as long as it didn't overly threaten their existence.

Still, even if it does, as long as it doesn't reach the council, he is still safe.

"If you're in approval?" Leucadius asked once again while raising his hand. And if the forty plus Godkings seated with him, over 25 raised their hands which caused him to smile.

"Since we have a majority vote, The Council of Godheads is hereby Established, and as witnesses, I hereby call Upon our Mother Gaea and Lady Oshtur to bear Witness to it."

….

The hall immediately grew still as a deep, ancient power stirred. The floor beneath them seemed to hum with life, and a radiant light began to coalesce at the center of the assembly.

From this light emerged Gaea and beside her, Oshtur, the powerful and ancient Elder Goddess.

While Gaea was the progenitor of every single Humanoid Species that originated from Earth, Gods and Humans alike, Oshtur was known for her Mastery over the cosmic energy, Wisdom and intelligence.

With their presence, the hall turned eerily silent due to the respect they all had for the two women.

Gaea observed the occupants of the Thrones on the podium and recognised most of them, but she said nothing and turned to her sister. Her Presence here was not of her own choosing but Leucadius'.

Oshtur getting the signal stepped forward. "To formalize this council, I will invoke a binding spell, ensuring that the commitments made here are honored. This spell will not impose tyranny, but it will ensure accountability."

She raised her hands, and intricate symbols of light began to form in the air, weaving together into a complex pattern. The gods watched in awe as the symbols danced and connected, forming a glowing sigil that exuded power.

"With this spell," Oshtur intoned, "I bind the Council of Godheads to its purpose. All present who consent to this agreement will be bound to it. Any actions taken in the name of this council will be recorded in the annals of time, ensuring transparency, justice and accountability."

The sigil floated above the assembly, casting a soft, golden light over the God-kings. One by one, they nodded in agreement, their divine auras resonating with the sigil's energy.

As each God acknowledged their consent, a strand of light connected them to the sigil, creating a web of interconnected divine power.

It was unknown whether it was due to trust or just because, but no God showed any form of suspicion towards the Sigil as it collected a trace of their Divine auras.

Leucadius didn't have any problems releasing a bit of his energy too, afterall, he had analyzed the Sigil and found that it wasn't harmful but more like a Rule of Law that stands Above even his Authority within the council.

Oshtur's voice echoed through the hall, sealing the spell. "By the power vested in me, and witnessed by my sister Gaea, the Council of Godheads is hereby established."

As the last words of the spell faded, the sigil solidified, its glow intensifying before dispersing into the air. Leucadius nodded in gratitude towards Gaea and Oshtur. "Thank you, Mother Gaea and Lady Oshtur, for your guidance and for sealing this council's foundation."

Gaea and Oshtur gave their blessings before their forms faded away, leaving the God-kings to ponder the gravity of their new commitment.

Leucadius turned back to the assembly and clapped his hands. "With that out of the way, how about we begin dividing our territories?"
