CHAPTER SIX

(two months later)

The celebrations were completed and everyone was leaving with smiling faces out of the gates of Tivaller. Everyone had radiant faces. My sisters and I have never felt this happy.

More than that happiness, I was so joyful that I was making progress in my new life. Clearly, it had not been easy to adapt. You have to use money sparingly, no matter how much you have. And in all that time Rehoboth was still my boss, my teacher and most of all my mentor.

I went up the stairs to get every other bit of work done before I report to my boss and rest for the day. He wasn't there. I followed his tail towards the back of the kitchen where the trash was always thrown. He had sat there gazing at the dark sky. It was evident that he was not okay. Maybe I could talk to him. Things had grown a little weird between us.

"Oh, you are here....." he said.

"Came to check whether the trash was taken earlier in the day," I lied.
