Occultist in Murim

The Paranormal doesn't come into our reality in a conventional way.

He needs breaches in what we call the membrane, a thin layer between dimensions, which separates our world... from the Other Side!

The Other Side is full of hideous creatures who wish us harm.

But among us, there are those crazed by the Other Side, fanatics... occultists!

And in this story we meet Kai, an ordinary young man until he was 15, when his home was attacked by Paranormal Creatures and his whole family was massacred.

Since then he has joined a group of people with common goals, to fight against the Other Side!

For many years he thought it was right, met many people and lost in equal amounts.

One day, Kai discovered a scheme bigger than anything he could imagine, he was just a pawn in a bigger game, used and abused to its maximum.

But Kai tried to fight it, to make sure all the sacrifices were not in vain, but in doing so, he was labeled an Occultist by the Order, his former companions hunting him down, thinking he was corrupted and gone mad.

Kai tried to bring them to their senses, tried to show his proofs, but the result was that no one believed him, his theories and proofs were so absurd, that an organization that has been fighting for millennia was actually the one seeking to destroy the world.

In the end, Kai was forced to stain his hands with the blood of those he once loved and fought alongside.

His hatred grew every day, becoming more and more insane, he performed more drastic rituals, in search of answers and support.

He created a cult, initially wanting support to fight the Order, to try to expose it, but in the end it was all in vain, Criminal Organizations, Politics, Billionaire Companies, in the end everything was on the side of the Order and he was just another madman.

But Kai would never give up, everything he fought for could not be wasted, so many deaths in vain, it could not happen!

And in the end, Kai, betrayed by those he thought he could trust, found himself nailed to a wall, several rebar bolts piercing his limbs and torso, while familiar faces, many of whom he hated, looked at him with indifference and disdain.

Kai growled at them, before giving a bloody smile and saying. - "I may die here, my efforts may have been in vain, but maybe not!"

"One day, for sure...your plans will be exposed...the truth will come out!" - Kai said in his last breaths.

"I admit that you were a nail in our shoe, but only a minor inconvenience, which is now over!" - Said a man with gray hair and beard, nonchalantly touching his forehead.

"Goodbye Christopher, unfortunately you had no vision!" - Said the man and soon a burst came and Kai's head no longer had its upper half.

Kai passed away, the end of his life, at least in this world!
