Kushina frowned, misunderstanding his question as she responded, "Are the villagers shunning you? All you do is play with bugs, what's so wrong with that?
"Big sister, please just answer my question."
This time, she calmed down and gave him a proper answer, "I used to get angry a few years ago, but now I'm used to it."
"That's nice." Kira commented before asking another question, "Big sister, what would you do if you were in an extremely important mission with your teammates and during a fight, you realise that you could complete the mission, but only if you sacrifice your teammates for it. Will you complete the mission, or will you abandon it?"
"This..." Kushina said as she frowned, "Is this about Sakumo?"
"Yes, but please just answer my question."
Kushina's frown deepened, but she still gave him her answer, "I'll complete the mission."
Kira stared at her for a few seconds before nodding, "I see. Would you choose to complete the mission if your teammate was big brother Minato?"
This question shattered Kushina's beliefs in a matter of seconds as she stared at him with her mouth open, not knowing what to say. Even her mind went blank as she tried to weigh the options.
"I..."
"Uncle Sakumo was hailed as a hero and everyone in this village talked highly about him for years. You weren't famous before you became the jinchuriki and once you did, you experienced this village's dark side.
Though I don't know if this is true or not, but people say that you were bullied by your classmates when you were in the academy for having red hair. You already experience the dark side of people when you were a child, but was it the same for Sakumo?
You didn't get the chance to experience the light, so you wouldn't understand how it'll feel to fall down into a pit of darkness from the top of the mountain where the sunlight falls upon you directly.
Big sister, I believe that the village killed the person I looked up to."
Kushina didn't know what to say and simply nodded.
Outside the door, Minato stood silently as he nodded to himself, 'Indeed, the village did kill the white fang. That is what happens when you don't teach kids about teamwork and bonds from a young age.
It really does look like Sir Sakumo's death hit him hard. The problem is how he's going to take sir Sakumo's death. Will he use his teammates as tools for the missions completion, or stick with Sakumo's beliefs and give more importance to the lives of his teammates?
Since he's here to learn the flying raijin... maybe I can use this chance to push him in the right direction. As for whether he has the capability to learn the jutsu, that'll depend on him.'
After thinking about Kira, he sighed and shook his head before opening the door and walked inside. The moment he did, the suffocating atmosphere in the room disappeared.
"Big brother Minato. I... can you teach me the flying raijin, please?"
Minato nodded, "Sure, but I'm a little busy with missions so most of the time, you'll have to train on your own. But before that, you'll have to promise me one thing."
"Sure, what do you want me to do?" Kira said as he nodded, looking up at Minato.
"Promise me that you'll not teach this to random people. This is a hidden jutsu passed down in my family."
Kira raised his eyebrows when he heard this, "Wait, passed down in your family? Wasn't this jutsu made by the second hokage, Tobirama Senju? Your last name is Namikaze...."
"Yeah, he's my grandfather. He had a few sons and a daughter, who is my mom. She married my dad, who's surname is Namikaze. He was a shinobi with civilian background and was pretty talented. So yeah... I do have the Senju blood flowing in me."
Kira silently stared at Minato for a few seconds as he got his thoughts together.
"When the village was formed... the Senju did split up and marry into other families. This is a known fact, but I really didn't expect something like this... wait, big brother Minato, is this the reason why you have such insane chakra levels?" he muttered.
Minato nodded, "Yeah I guess? My grandmother was an Uzumaki after all."
'..... everything makes sense now.' Kira thought as he recalled the events from the anime.
Minato, who had fought against Obito, had to teleport multiple times, teleport away a full powered tailed beast bomb, summon gamabunta and after doing all of this, he still had enough chakra to seal away half of Kurama using Reaper Death seal.
'With both the senju and uzumaki bloodline... it looks like Minato inherited the better half of the genes from both ends. Then there's also the hair color... the senju were the first notable people who had blond hair, which is pretty close to yellow.' he thought.
Although it was mostly dirty blonde like Tsunade's, the earliest person to have the blond hair according to the timeline, was Tobirama and Hashirama's brother who was killed at a very young age. As for his name, Kira didn't really remember as he was shown only once.
Of course, there's also the possibility that Minato's father had the genes for yellow hair and that Minato inherited this hair color from him instead of the senju.
[A/N: Itama and Kawarama. From the pics, it looks like brownish dirty blonde hair, but the descriptions say brownish and white for the two brothers, which I wholeheartedly ignored so that my theory can make more sense. Reminder: This is an AU and I will not be following the canon 100%. I'll only follow 90% of the canonical stuff and the other stuff will be theories and a few alterations to canon stuff.]
"Are you okay?" Minato asked Kira after the latter stood silently while staring at him.
Kira nodded, "Yeah, I was just lost in thought. Maybe things would have been nice if I was a Senju like you instead of Aburame. Anyways, let's not talk about that and go train!"
Saying that, Kira walked out of the room and stopped right in front of the doorway.
"Big sister, if you lose control of the Ninetails... the villagers will turn against you agressively. Their fear and hate won't be passive like it is at this moment. And when that happens, don't expect the Hokage to help you out in anyway.
After all, he ignored Sakumo when he was going through the worst experience of his life. Oh yeah, please don't tell the Hokage that I told you this." he said with an expressionless face and then silently left with Minato.
