Chapter 1Order Of Light

The environment that I'm in right now is a beautiful and vibrant paradise, with everything here being completely perfect, though it is also quite quiet.

The most prominent feature here is a giant tree around two-hundred meters in diameter, it reaches up until it seems to be touching the sky. Under the tree there is a large pond of water, completely still. In the pond there is also a tiny island with a tree stump and a bunch of grass and foliage around it.

Looking at the small island there is a medium-sized monkey-like creature sitting on its hind legs, looking at its reflection in the water. Noticing me walking up to the pond, it turns to look at me.

The monkey-like creature, which I now recognise as a type of monkey called a 'Mokoi', jumps up into a defensive stance as I approach it. It stares at me, and makes a sound which I can only describe as a mix between a growl and a screech.

The monkey looks annoyed at my lack of a response, its tail swinging around. It suddenly makes a series of monkey-like sounds, as if it is trying to communicate something to me.

"Oh, I can understand you," I say, to the Mokoi.

The monkey's eyes widen slightly in surprise as I seem to understand what it is saying, it looks at me for a moment, as if assessing me, before speaking again. "Ah, you understand me? That's good, I was worried you were just going to stand there awkwardly like some humans."

The monkey sighs and gets into a more relaxed position, still sitting on its hind legs. "Humans are not very good at understanding us monkeys, some think we only know how to scream and jump around."

The monkey looks at me for a moment, seemingly waiting for a response, before continuing to speak.

"You don't speak much, do you?"

"It's just weird talking to a Mokoi." I say.

The monkey tilts its head slightly, its eyes seeming almost questioning.

"What's weird about it? We're just as intelligent as any other creature."

"You would understand if you were human." I say.

The monkey huffs, seeming almost irritated now.

"I suppose you're going to act like you're better than us just because you're human?"

"I mean, I wouldn't be wrong?" I say.

The monkey's ears go back as it glares at me.

"And just why is that the case? We monkeys are just as intelligent as humans, if not more so."

"Right..." I say quietly.

The monkey lets out an annoyed sigh, shaking its head.

"I've dealt with humans like you before, you all think you're so much better than 'lesser species', but you're not."

"Okay, egoist." I say.

The monkey's eyebrows rise in surprise, it seems shocked that I would call it egotistical.

"What?! I'm not egotistical! You're the one acting like a know-it-all human!"

"Bro, I really don't care. If you going get mad at your own argument, then shut up." I say.

The monkey's eyes narrow slightly in irritation.

"Fine, if you don't care then I'll stop talking. But don't go acting like I'm the one being immature here!"

"Yeah, cuz you're the one screaming." I say.

The monkey's face reddens slightly in embarrassment, but it doesn't back down.

"I'm not screaming! I'm just raising my voice to be heard! It's not my fault you humans have poor hearing!"

"Literally the same thing, bloody hell mate." I say.

The monkey huffs, its expression becoming even more irritated.

"No, it's not! There's a difference between speaking loudly and screaming. I don't know why humans like you can't understand that!"

"Okay, you win." I say, as I walk away.

The monkey watches me walk away, still looking irritated. It mumbles something under its breath as I leave.

"Humans. So infuriating."

I walk back to my castle and I enter, The air castle hovers gently on the air as the butler, a human man standing at 6 feet 2 inches tall with long black hair and a neat goatee, bows slightly in greeting.

"Welcome back, Veldanta. I hope you had a pleasant journey."

"Yeah, I did." I say.

The butler nods, gesturing for me to enter the castle.

"I'm glad to hear that. Now, if you would follow me, there are some matters that I need to discuss with you."

We walk deeper into the castle, the corridors and chambers looking like they were carved out of clouds themselves. We soon come up to a large chamber, with a table in the center. The butler motions for me to sit down at the table.

"Please, have a seat."

I sit down at the table, looking inquisitively at the butler.

"Alright, what is it that you wanted to discuss?"

The butler nods, folding his hands neatly in front of him.

"There are a few matters that I need to bring to your attention. Firstly, there has been an increase in activity from your enemies the 'Demon Lords of Chaos'. It seems they are planning something."

"God, again? Honestly, they know they can't beat me." I say.

The butler nods, his face remaining serious.

"It does seem that they are more desperate than usual. They have been gathering forces and resources at an alarming rate. I would not be surprised if they are planning something drastic."

"So, is that all?" I say.

The butler hesitates for a moment before continuing.

"No, that is not all. There is also the matter of the 'Council of Elders' and the 'Order of Light'. They have expressed their dissatisfaction with your methods and leadership. They are considering taking action against you."

"They wouldn't say it to my face." I say.

The butler nods, once again looking serious.

"That is correct. It seems they are too cowardly to speak to you directly. They have been sending their henchmen to spread dissent and propaganda against you."

"Is it because I killed the former king and took his spot?" I say.

The butler nods once again.

"Yes, that is a likely reason. They were not happy about you taking the former king's place. They saw it as a disruption of the natural order."

The butler continues speaking, his tone still serious.

"They have been spreading rumors and lies about you, trying to discredit you and turn people against you. They call you a tyrant and a dictator."

"Well, I know that's not true." I say.

The butler nods once again, his expression softening slightly.

"Of course, I know that you are not a tyrant. You rule with a firm but fair hand. The people of this world benefit from your rule and are happy under your leadership. But the 'Council of Elders' does not care about that. They only care about their own selfish interests."

"Right, so is that all?" I say.

The butler nods, seemingly hesitating for a moment. He then speaks up, his voice sounding a bit reluctant.

"There is one more thing, but I'm not sure if I should tell you this."

"Just do it." I say.

The butler takes a deep breath before continuing, his voice now sounding uncertain.

"I've received news that the 'Order of Light' is preparing a secret weapon. They call it the 'Blade of Enlightenment'. No one knows what it is, but apparently it's supposed to be powerful enough to rival even your power."

"NOOO!!!!" I suddenly scream.

The butler looks at me with concern as I react strongly to the news of the 'Blade of Enlightenment'.

"Please, Veldanta, stay calm. We do not know what this 'Blade of Enlightenment' actually is. It could be a bluff, or an exaggeration."

"Then I'll just meet them myself." I say.

The butler's eyes widen in surprise at my decision.

"Are you sure that is wise? The 'Order of Light' is dangerous and unpredictable. They may have traps or other surprises prepared for you."

"It's whatever, I'd probably survive." I say.

The butler looks concerned, but he knows that arguing with me is pointless.

"Very well, if that is your decision. But please, be careful. I would not want anything to happen to you."

Reincarnated To Evolve My Bee Empire

"Now, go forth, my mortal champion! Conquer this world—or else!" I lived a painfully average life and died by a stupid, stupid accident, but a goddess interfered, giving me a second chance in another world. There, I became royalty—the lazy kind with almost no obligations, free to live in peace and luxury for the rest of my days. Sounds like a dream, right? In reality, it was anything but—because I became *BEE* royalty. A Drone Bee, doomed to die of old age in 2 months! (A humanoid bee, thankfully, but still a bee in all the ways that matter.) The only way to increase my lifespan is to develop and grow my bee colony—a deadly task in a vicious world like this one. There are murderous insect monsters, colossal beasts trampling the earth, other civilizations, natural disasters, and the bitchy patron goddess who absolutely hates me. But as long as I have my brains, my bees, and the powerful genes my system gives me, my Bee Empire will be unstoppable! === For those who want to know more: This is a wholesome comedic story, but it has some dark moments. The focus is on kingdom building, survival as an empire, and interacting with MC’s beautiful bee wife and adorable bee daughters. The bees are all humanoid (see pictures) and human-sized. However, they are still bees in their ways of life and mentality. Although there’s a system, real growth comes from putting effort and time. Nothing happens in an instant in this story, unless it’s trouble. MC acts like an idiot sometimes (oftentimes), but he’s not actually stupid-stupid. When it comes to strategic decisions, he uses logic and reason. Even if you might disagree with it. Also, there will be no smut (ecchi is a fair game), incest, NTR, harem or BL. === Discord is up! Also, although I realize the futility of this aim (at least right now), if this novel reaches top 15 golden ticket ranking (and stays there for a few days, obv), I will mass release 10 extra chapters!
