Ch 22 : First Blood

" Then we will stop here first. After all, we don't want to fall for the enemy ambush!"

Karura made everybody stop and began to think for a countermeasure.

The enemy was five Shinobi, and looking from the past, it should be a team of 1 Jonin and four Chunin.

Karura knew well that both Chisaki and Sasori were far above their peers, but she still hesitated a bit as she didn't really know how well would the two fare in real combat.

But not long after they stopped, Sasori who was silent from the start, opened his mouth:

" What are we waiting for? Let's just kill them and rush to our mission. Karura-San could handle the Jonin while this Chisaki and I would handle the rest!"

Karura was a bit surprised by these words from Sasori. She really never expected that Sasori would be this confident against a group of a real ninja.

Karura looked at Chisaki, and when she saw that Chisaki seemed to agree with what Sasori said, she could only sigh.

" Well, since you two are confident, then we will confront them head-on. But remember, the moment you two think you have fallen into danger, quickly retreat."

The two nodded to karura's words, and soon they began to move.

The enemy was laying ambush, but it didn't necessarily mean that the enemy had discovered their location.

Therefore, the group of three was trying to get an advantage by taking the initiative.

The three members moved together with Karura in front.

Chisaki controlled the sands to hinder the enemy's sight and movement, and when the enemy was not paying attention, they began their attack.

With the unnatural sand storm, the Konoha ninjas obviously also knew that there were Ninjas that were coming their way. However, they weren't sure where the direction the enemies were coming from and could only put a defensive formation.

" Everyone, defensive formation A!"

The group of Konoha ninja created a circle as they wanted to intercept every attack coming from back and front. Unfortunately, they met Chisaki, and it was all useless.

Any formation would be useless in the face of sheer power, and it perfectly worked with Chisaki's current situation.

He saw the enemies were making a formation, and a smile arose on his face.

" Sasori, do you still remember our 23rd battle?"

" Hmm, of course. It's the one where you use that cheap-"

" Yeah, Let's use that tactic. You know what to do, right?"

" Humph!"

Even though it was their first time battling together, Sasori and Chisaki had been rivals for so many years, and it was unavoidable that the two knew each other strategies pretty well.

Karura saw this but didn't say anything. If the two children had a good relationship, then it would be better for Suna.

As they rushed toward the direction of the Konoha Ninja, Chisaki suddenly stopped, much to karura's surprise.

But then, something unimaginable happened.

Chisaki closed his eyes as he focused a lot of his chakra on the sandy ground and..

*Rumble*

" Reshape: Pitfall!"

Under the feet of the Konoha ninja's a huge pitfall was formed.

" Fuck, what the heck is this!"

The Konoha ninjas screamed. The pitfall was very sudden, but since they were an experienced ninja, they still have some times to react.

The five Konoha ninjas jumped high into the air, but then they knew that it was all just a big trap.

The moment they jumped into the air, Sasori's puppet had already waiting for them.

One of the ninjas was immediately swallowed whole by Sasori's puppet, while the other was poisoned by the poison needles that Sasori's puppet had thrown.

The Konoha ninjas tried to counterattack by launching some jutsus or shuriken at the puppet, but they were quick to retreat when realizing that their attacks did absolutely nothing to the puppet.

They landed on the ground, and the face of the Konoha's Jonin was dark.

In just one attack, they have lost one of their Chunin while the other was poisoned. If things were to be left like this, he didn't know whether he could still survive the poison until he returned back to Konoha's camp.

" You guys... who are you!"

Roared the Konoha Jonin.

He had somewhat accepted that he would be dead after his battle, so all he wanted to do now was to find the name of his killer.

" You are not worthy to know our names!"

Replied Chisaki, once again using his overhaul ability.

However, he didn't use it to create a pitfall this time, but instead:

" Reshape: Desert Spada!!"

Chisaki controlled the sand on his feet as he created a loose blade of fast-moving sand that extended along the ground like a torpedo, splitting anything in its path, including the very ground itself.

The attack was too fast, and since the Konoha ninjas movement was a bit sluggish from the poisoning, two of the Chunin couldn't escape Chisaki's attack resulting in instant death.

*Slash*

From the moment the battle started, only a few seconds have passed.

But in these few seconds, three of the enemy Chunin was killed by the combination of Sasori and Chisaki.

The Konoha ninjas didn't even have time to react, and the moment they knew it, their comrades had left them. This way, both Chisaki and Sasori scored their first blood in the second world war.

Chisaki and Sasori's epic performance did not just make the Konoha Ninja panic; it also stunned Karura on the side.

She knew the two was Genius, but to kill without batting an eye, was this the real definition of a ninja Genius?
