Bridge Completion (1)

As Kakashi leisurely strolled back to old man Tazuna's house, his students and Tazuna's family trailing next to him, the cool, salty night breeze of the ocean caressed his face.

The rhythmic sound of waves crashing against the bridge filled the night air, providing a calming soundtrack to their journey. 

The moon shone brightly overhead, its silver light reflecting off the water in mesmerizing patterns.

Kakashi couldn't help but feel good about his current situation. He was a little on edge when he first reincarnated, but he now felt that it's rather soothing to be in this position. 

Tsunami carried Inari on her back and occasionally glanced at Sakura. She was worried for her. She was sure that Kakashi was having an sex with her, but she knew she couldn't prove it even if she wanted to expose him and bring out his truth. They both would definitely deny it. 

She had witnessed first hand how manipulative Kakashi could be. 

Anyways… she wouldn't try to do anything to Kakashi anymore. That man, although detestable, has kept his word. 

They soon crossed the bridge, heading in the direction of the village, towards old man Tazuna's home. Tsunami put down Inari and held his hand as they walked.

As they continued on their path, the smell of salt and seaweed mingled with the fresh scent of pine trees, creating a unique and refreshing aroma that invigorated their senses. 

The villagers that went along with them sung constant praises, mostly towards Kakashi. 

However, Naruto couldn't help but feel like a hero. He danced around and muttered something to Sasuke, who rolled his eyes. Sakura also heard it and was a little stunned. 

He then came to Kakashi and said: "Sorry, Kakashi-sensei, I just wanted to hear your opinion ab…" 

"Just say it" said Kakashi, looking ahead before turning behind him. His eyes locked with Tsunami for a brief moment before he turned back to face Naruto.

"Didn't you hear me earlier?" said Naruto, a crease forming on his eyebrows. 

"I didn't," Kakashi shrugged and kept walking. 

Naruto didn't give up so easily and explained again: "I was talking about changing my hair color when we get to Konoha. Sasuke is disagreeing with me concerning it."

Sasuke rolled his eyes at Naruto when he heard this.

"Tell Kakashi-sensei about the color, Naruto," Sakura said, before laughing softly.

"I wear orange clothes, so I want to change my hair color from yellow to orange, tell me, how does that sound?" said Naruto expectantly.

"Terrible and disastrous," said Kakashi, in a matter-of-fact tone.

"Exactly!" screamed Sasuke, before he and Sakura burst into giggles of laughter. Old man Tazuna gave a wide smile.

"Kakashi-sensei! That's sooo meeeeaaan," said Naruto, digging his elbow into Kakashi's stomach. Kakashi bent over and yelped.

"I mean it," Kakashi continued, "It's already enough rainbows and sunshine when you are dressed the way you are. And now, you want to dye your hair color to an orange color, trying to suit your clothes? What are you, human tangerine?,"

Everyone around them burst into laughter, except Naruto. He made a face, while thinking about Kakashi's taunt. Human tangerine, hmmmph, He said in his mind. He was going to try it anyway.

"I'm going to do it anyway," said Naruto, sticking out his tongue at them. Kakashi shook his head.

"Sorry, but we don't want a human tangerine on our team," said Sasuke in a cool and calm tone, his face turning up into a fine smirk. It was supposed to be sarcastic, but it wasn't. Naruto became mad.

As always, Sasuke-kun is so coool, Sakura thought, closing her eyes, a tint of blush appearing on her face, underneath her cheeks.

Sasuke! Stop using me to look cool! Hmmmph!, screamed Naruto in his mind. He folded his arms and turned his face the other way. Old man Tazuna began a conversation, and within minutes, everyone was laughing, except Kakashi, who took out a note and wrote on it.

As soon as they got home, they all went to freshen up in their respective rooms, and Tsunami went about making dinner.

In her room, Sakura opened the note that Kakashi-sensei had slipped into her hand as she came up the stairs leading to her room. She knew it had to do with coming to his room tonight. The note read:

"See you in my room tonight,

Come straight after dinner."

She sighed and tore the note, throwing it into the bin with exasperation. She had just come back from a day of hard work and now, this.

She was tired of crying out loud! She screamed in her head, burying her face in her hands, with tears streaming down her cheeks.

But she couldn't deny that her body was reacting to Kakashi-sensei's touches, and lately, she had begun to crave more for herself, and she felt disgusted by it.

She couldn't continue to have mixed feelings about everything, she would run mad before it would clock the end of the year. She cried a bit more, before she went into the bathroom and buried herself in the bathtub. 

… 

Kakashi walked into the dining room area and took a seat beside Inari, who shivered out of fear and surprise. Everyone was seated and chatting happily except Sakura, who gave a few side comments. The area around her eye had red patches, and she had dark eye bags. 

Sasuke looked refreshed, listening attentively to old man Tazuna, who was narrating tales of his youthful days. 

He was feeling amazing because he had activated his Sharingan, and he seemed to have gained a major boost in ability. This was all thanks to Kakashi, and he planned to ask Kakashi for some more 'training' later. 

He also wanted to ask about the weapons that Naruto and Sakura were given.

Kakashi chuckled while the others talked. He wasn't chuckling about their contents, however. He was chuckling to himself as he thought about the events that's going to occur tomorrow. 

Tsunami came in carrying a large bowl of rice and serving plates, keeping it on the dining table. Sakura got up to help in serving the rice, while Tsunami went back into the kitchen to bring the rest of the food.

A savory, delicious aroma of curry and fried fish filled the room, and Naruto's stomach rumbled loudly, across the dining room. He had already eaten Kakashi's food, but he was feeling hungry again now for some reason. 

Kakashi didn't really want to eat the food, but he stayed. It was just nice to keep his scummy presence in the room. 

Soon, everyone was served and Old man Tazuna stood up and cleared his throat.

"Today, we celebrate the victory our village has had, over Gato and his men, who sought to bring this village to ruin, destruction and under his control. We had lost hope, and I was on the verge of losing hope, when I applied for the D rank mission in the village of the Hidden leaves,"

Kakashi rolled his eyes, and the rest of them at the table were listening with keen interest. Naruto had forgotten about his hunger, and had a proud smirk on his face.

"When I got to the village and was given the list of rank for the missions, I realized that I didn't have enough money for our mission, which was classified as C or B rank, depending on the seriousness of the situation. To be honest, when I met the kids at first," old man Tazuna said and paused, smiling at Naruto, Sakura and Sasuke. Naruto winked his eyes at him. Sakura blushed a bit.

"I thought 'the land of waves is doomed', but there was nothing I could do. They realized I had lied about the mission after the first attack, and that was when I knew they were capable. I had no worries concerning them. I felt safe just knowing they were around." 

Tazuna kept on talking…
